Getting new 1000 watt MH light ...bulb help needed please!

I'm finally getting my new light tomorrow morning.

I'm getting a 1000 watt ballast.

A 3 foot parabolic reflector (moving track later)

The guy said that I can use a warm bulb and do both vegging and flowering. I researched this and I am assuming he is talking about a sunmaster which are about $100 each. They have both the blues and the reds in them.

I am going to be flowering in another month or so and don't want to pay a fortune on just bulbs BUT I do want a really good crop.

What are all of you guys using?

Should I purchase this sunmaster for the veg cycle and then get a more appropriate one for flowering?
(this is what i am presently considering)

I really want an impressive indoor grow this year.

I will even take pics of my light for you all tomorrow.

Well im am no expert by any means but I have a read a enough on this website to write a 5,000 page book on how to grow

I think you should go with MH for veg and switch back to HPS for flower. JUST my 2 cents

Yes i relaize that is best to but i don't have a switchable ballast otherwise you need to separate light systems and I only have a MH ballast system.

I chose the MH over the hps ballast only because I will be vegging for longing than I will be flowering whereas most people here don't.

Thats is why many have an hps ballast.

To have a switchable ballast is a LOT of money but an awesome idea. I just wish i could afford one.

I don't think you can put an Hps bulb into a MH ballast.

no but you can use a MH conversion bulb like I do and I have had great results so far.

have you considered the hortilux blue? Its get a really nice full spectrum with a good amount of red light for flowering.

I was considering a sunmaster bulb but in a balanced warm.

I so wish I could purchase from those guys cause they have great prices and selection.
