this is not my first grow but it is my first journal i decided to share with you here at rollitup

i am open to any suggestions, questions, help or anything else anyone may have or want. You can post anything you want in here as soon its relevant to this grow . So lets start the journal.

seeds: nirvana swiss cheese feminised. its a hybrid of skunk #1 and swiss mist. supposed to be sativa dominant but as i can see in 20 days of growing i would say is 70%-80% indica

lights: 400w hps son-t-agro 57000 lumens

tent: silverbox evolution 120x120x200

pots: large ones i dont know how the litres are measured but they have inside 20 litres of soil minimum each one.

soil: is a mixture of mine: 2 different organic soils and 20% guano (i am not changing this combination with anything in the world it worked miracles for me before and it will do this time also :) )

plant food: a simple N-P-K (10-6-4) fertilizer for green plants for the vegetative phase and some formulex when they were babys.

temperatures: 22-26 when the lights are on and 20-21 when the lights are off.

light cycle: started 24/0 for 1 week and then continued on 18/6 untill now

Will follow. Looking good already. That's a very simple setup compared to most others. (I am trying to learn to build a box and am examining a lot of others setups.) I like it, the simpler, the better IMO. Bet they taste great, can't wait to try to grow some blue cheese strain.

thank you it will be good having you and more people around since is my first time sharing a grow with others(always stealthy coz of the cops)! i hear you my friend, i always like to keep it simple and dont confuse my stoned brain :P. i was going for bubblicious until i tried this strain... blue cheese is almost the same in flavor a little more fruity , go for it :) you can find very good deals on tents and lights and they get you out of many troubles and concerns. surf the web and do some research it is worth the money trust me.

For sure. I am going to try to be super-stealthy as well for the same reasons. I bought some blue cheese a few months back and that has to be the best stuff I've ever smoked. Good luck!

icyblaze my fan is 125mm rvk and it sucks the air of the tent through the cool tube to the great outdoors ... for intake because this is your next question, i have a slight opened window to the back of my tent and because of the power of the fan the window becomes intake. as we mentioned in the previous posts i like it simple and my plants seem to love it too.. (btw the back of my tent is in complete darkness 24/7 so no light leaks when lights are off)

ok now here are 2 things i need opinions:
1)do you think is a bit early to clone?
2)i was going to veg for 1 month but i am in day 20 and i think it will propably need some more time to mature a bit more... planned date of starting 12/12 was 12th of may but i may postpone until the 19th or even further. what do you think about that? FYI my minimum target is 2oz dry per plant.

no one? come on guys i thought i was going to have some company through this grow thats why i decided to post
Hi I normally give a plant at least 2 months before taking cuttings or at least till they show sex, yours seem a bit small yet. I assume you want to take 1 cutting from each plant?

So doing a standard CFL grow, it would be really hard to get clones from, eh? Since you switch to flowering after only a few weeks? Or could you take a clone at 2 months even during flowering? I'm sure this has been addressed before, just don't remember.

You can take clones in flower regiment as long as they are not that far in, i have successfully taken clones by nipping out flowers but they took longer to root, although they came back stronger and better after. It's size and maturity really that's important to me. Having enough branching to cut 4-5 inches to trim down to 3 and then in the root plug. This is my method though, there are many ways to skin the cat..

Edit: CFL's are always going to offer less usable light so growth may be slower and more compact offering less branching for potential clones, wait for the stretch or try to take your clones when preflowering starts and your full vegetative growth is fulfilled.

thanks mate its my first time to clone i always started from seeds and i really appreciate the help
Using the stretch is a good way to get the branches for clones, the plant has shown it's maturity in responding to the different cycle and my experience from seed is that the plant will continue to grow plenty new growth afterwards as she flowers anyway, clones are different especially when thrown into flower, less growth in flower. Wait until then and you should be killing 2 birds with one stone by creating more side branching and acquiring clones.

Where are you in the UK?
