Default A Fool and a Hermie Seed

the two go hand in hand? some would say so
but i'm in need of a female plant, and ready to pluck roosters if it comes to that
last grow was male from reg seeds, hermie before that, and hermie seeds = feminized
i'll also admit i'm curious what will pop out from a S1 seed

the parentage is a brainwreck from highgrade-seeds
it did hermie, but nice smoke nevertheless, bit more sativa than the hybrids i've grown
the original plant was a fairly typical looking indica hybrid
though the buds seemed to be more sativa like

here's a very sativa like seedling at 2 days, though i realize it's early(and pic isn't the clearest)
but if there is one thing i remember, is the old sativa bag seed grows i did way back in the day
it's like coming home - so i'll just say i'm cautiously optimistic

growing slow, but healthy, but the parent was a slow starter, and was female, so i'll hold that thought
and the sativa component may not be as dominant as i thought, take what the growing god gives me i guess
1st pic was the brainwreck at day 9, 2nd is the offspring at day 9

not so sativa, shows why it tricky to try to judge too early
actually, is now very similar to the parent
no complaints, i liked the parent, except for the hermie trait
parent is the 1st pic, offspring is the 2nd

thanks for stopping by, i've never seen this type of grow documented, hermie seeds get no respect
but i've heard some good stories from those who actually tried them

this has become pretty interesting, kind of amazed how close the parent and offspring are
1st pic is parent, 2nd is the child
in the 1st week, they looked nothing alike, now at 3 weeks, real close
offspring even has the slightly curved down/rough fan leaf texture which parent had
which makes me nervous, if it's such a good copy, banana city could be around the corner

lol, only because hermies make hermies.
But tbh, I started with 3 clones and 1 seed I found in a bag of purp. I planted it in a "::shrugs::'fuck it" moment and it was of course female. She's been doin just fine since then, but I DO need to get her pH back down. If she gets too stressed i'll be pickin out seeds
And same goes for you man, godda keep an eye on your....EVERYTHING, too much stress in any way will cause that baby to...well, you know.

    Good luck tho, i'll watch.

My grow was raided pretty much by ACCIDENT, and is canceled...
It's NOT paranoia when there REALLY ARE people out to get you...

thanks for sharing your experience, i'm ready for what comes
the 1 saving grace of the hermie parent was its pollen didn't seem completely fertile, less than 1/2 of the pistils got seeded
i figure if i keep it well trimmed of balls, it shouldn't have many seeds, or so i hope

From what I understand when you pick banana's, or balls or whatever the hermie throws at you. For every 1 you pick, 2 more will grow. They say it's best to leave them on (provided they haven't opened yet) until toward the end, that way when you pick, new ones don't have time to grow.

hadn't heard that, but thanks for that info - have to read some more on this
just checked the plant, no balls after 5 days of flower, not that proves much
but the parent hermied very early, i think around week 2 or so
