First CFL closet/box grow (super dank bagseed)

Ok so i am starting to plan my next grow i don't have too much to show you now but i am looking for input. my plan is to do 3-5 plants in this pvc box type thing in my closet with CFL's. and i have no intention on putting a lot of money into this. i did one grow before that i must say was not successful but it was mostly a lighting issue that i will solve this time around. i currently have....

2x30w clf
2x23w cfl
pvc box thingy
a mini in flower (plan to re-vegg)
a sprout maybe 1 foot tall (maybe this could be lst'ed) {both of which at a friends house}

i want to add 2-4 more lights looking for 40w (whatever is equal to 150w)

few questions to start do you think this would be enough light? how should the light be set up i know they say put cfls close but i have seen setups with home made hoods with cfls with good results. also i have read of grows with nothing but water or light nutes added to the soil with good results would this be a bad idea. as i said i am looking to spend little cash and with needing more lights....

i would love any input and i am looking to hear what you guys think i should do with this box i originally thought just to throw a sheet over it but should i like maybe cut up boxes and close it in? again low on cash. thanks for any input and as soon as i can get the little things taken care of i will pick up my babies (both female BTW) and get more pics. i have included two of my box to show size and hope someone can help me decide what to do with it.

wow that was a long post sorry.

hahah one more thing i was thinking i will need small plants and i want a yield worth this risk and was thinking of trying a few techniques at once maybe an lst, fimm, and multiple top. you know like three diff plants all done diff ways. is this too much you think i could pull this off? thanks so much rollitup

wouldn't i have to buy that online at like 20 bucks? that seems like a lot when i could use white cardboard or a sheet or something.

Anything white and solid would be better than a sheet; porous surfaces won't reflect the light and you don't have any to spare. That's a lot of ask of a few little lights. Growing inside is not for the faint of wallet, LOL.

you don't think the eight CFL's would pull it off. is it too many plants or just not enough light. i have seen grows with only two 150 equal cfl's. but that is why i am here. i just feel 8 would do it because my last had 4 but it was too late. but even that plant responded well.

It can be done; I started out with a bank of about 20 26w bulbs and then bought some 60w multi spectrums that I still use for clones. It's just that the yield won't be as great as with sunlight or an HPS system. The Home Depot blubs just don't give the right wavelength of light for a really good finish.

but with 4 plants even an ok finish will give me an overall yield of over an oz i would assume? and if i only put in a little and get more then next time i put in more and so on.

Yeah you should get more than an ounce off 4 plants. We might both get a surprise; it could be quite a bit more, especially if you can give them some sunlight from time to time.

oi good idea will try to give a lil sun every now and again.

does this grow sound ambitious to do low on cash and with limited resources and only the slight bit of knowledge i have?

ok so i had quite a few setbacks money and time wise but i am mostly set up. i am including 2 pics just so you can kinda see it. i will be adding one more light in there. those are all 100w equivalent CFL's for the exception that i have 2 that are 125w equivalent.

what i am looking for is a little feedback about how i should go about this i was originally thinking of LST, FIMM, and TOP. but i am new to this. and the other plants i had set up to come over had an accident.

i do however have an IMPORTANT question.... how do i PH my water. i went to wal-mart and couldn't find anything i found a kit that would tell me the PH but no help to control it? please any help here would be great. and also is there any special type of soil that i can get from wal-mart that would be good for this last time i got miracle grow and they said that was bad. i was thinking of just getting the super cheap stuff. any info is greatly appreciated. PH though is a big problem for me and i am going to the store in like 30 min maybe someone can help by then. thanks and sorry for it being so long.

my friend just told me that baking soda will decrease the PH and vinegar will raise it is this true? then i could just buy like the PH testing drops and control it with those?

ok now i have my vent. i put a little fan up by the top blowing hot air out. hopefully that will control heat. still have no idea what to do about PH hope someone can help. comments are welcome to. have some seed germing right now and should have some plants for you to look at soon.

DAY 1

ok feb. 1 is what i will be calling day one. at this point i only have to sprouts. looking to go to about 4. including some pics hope you can see them well.

hope to get a little feedback. still no clue about PH. and can't decide how to have the biggest yield with such a small area should i just do LST on all or would topping or fimm be better. thanks for any help.

you should jus check ur ph first most of the time it doesnt need adjusting. i would go with Lst it usually work the best for small places plus you would most likly yeild more.

what kind of soil are you using?

but i know my water will need to be PHed and i have no idea as to how to do that. as for soil it is some stuff with no added nutes in it. and then i will lst all four of them then. thanks ofr the reply no one seems to show me any love.

vinegar or garden lime wil make the ph go up and lemon juice will make it go down. u may need another fan in there i would try to get an exhaust. do u plan on flowering in there too?

yep full grow in that box. that fan is being used as exhaust and with that fan temp is around 80-84 F seems good to me. would it be safe to control the water PH through the whole grow with these methods?

oh and they are now babies stead of seeds. only about 12 hours from the last pic to these.

Ya, Petco has the PH test/PH up/PH down kit for like $8-10. Should last you through your whole grow and you don't have to worry about raiding your kitchen cupboard and guessing on quantities.
