DWC Scrog Grow Extrema & El Monstre!

Here are a couple buds that I grabbed from the jar to snap a quick pic.
Bout a week after being in the jar.
It has a good smell when I squeeze the bud but other than that the smell is not strong.
The smell & taste is getting better tho.
Should be better in about a week. After curing a bit more.
It is a good mellow high and it smokes great. No relighting of the blunt.
Haven't tried smoking it from glass yet but I will.
Just to taste the bud better without the wrap. I prefer blunts though.

nice bro its chill to see an update on buds that are being cured and don't worry because all my past harvest have been the same way I would try and brown paper bag em and get some extra moisture out and see if that "medical clinic" smell starts to come unless you could care less about the wait but hey please keep updating how the cure treats you its nice to see the step by step.

The buds smelling (strong) only when you squeeze them is because they didn't ripen to their full genetic potential. I've seen that before too, and it happened on a grow where I fucked up the timing of my nute schedule... My buds still smelled without squeezing, but you had to squeeze them to smell the real earthy OG Kush smell. There should be no squeezing involved to detect the true aroma of a bud. I suspect your month long flush is the main culprit here.

It does look a bit more compacted after their week in the jar, though. But watch out on the rate you're smoking that.. The batch I grew with my badly timed nutes hit a wall of tolerance after a certain point, and I swear, I was smoking a huge blunt non-stop to my head and I wasn't getting high AT ALL. I don't want to see that happen to you.

lordjin can you elaborate on this ripening of the full genetic potential? what is the reason for this happening simply not feeding the plant the way that it wants to be fed?

What he means is.
I was thinking that the plants were 8-9 week flowering plants so I started flushing around week 7 and was planning on harvesting around 8 1/2 - 9.
Come to find out upon me looking further into the genetics I found they are 10-12 week flowering.
I had already started the flush and didn't wanna add nutes back into the rez after a week of flush so I let them grow out and they went the last month with basically no or very little nutes. Which caused stress and never really allowed the plant to reach its full maturity.
Where as if I knew they were 10-12 from the start then I would have started the flush around week 9 1/2 - 10

The budz look great! The smell is strong and half ass there when I open the jar but the budz don't have much of a smell.
The taste is okay but not what I was wanting or expecting. I get high off of it but it's just lacking a little bit. Moisture in jar when closed is 60
Def gonna make Round 2 better with the flushing and curing process.

After curing for about a month in the jars. The bud still gets me high and I smoke everyday.
Some of the budz are great smelling and feeling and a few of them are kinda dried smelling.
Overall I am very pleased with the grow and the budz. Strain is great!!
It would be some fire ass bud if it was flushed properly.
A few other people have smoked it and say it's better than the average bud.
Still not great tho. At least not to me. Definitely looking forward to my next harvest.

Hey bro nice job man! Hey I felt hthe same way regard the El monstre I got killing fields the purple one and the smell isnt all that stong either IDK I never get some real dAnk smelling shit but that killing fields high is fire, it makes me feel like an earthquake thats what I re named it purple earthquake when you smoke it,your like dame its pretty light but after a half blunt smoked it catches up to you big time im telling you guys you want the high to stop. Of course then you want more after. That El monstre was def a freebie to me. LOOKS nice but not all that to me I really want to try that Extrema I seen good views on that one. Uberkusk is all right actually the smell was def there but still not that much the high was def nice but a 8 1/2 killing fields 9 El monstre 8 I got the freebiee Herijuan/bigwhite and thats nice about 8 1/2 for a freebie. Im getting Extrema my next order and something Chocalate and more Killing frields I know it has more potential. GREAT GROW bro! Im proud of you. lol Your really good growing bro compare to me your real anal about shit. Thats whats up cuz with my experience when your anal about shit you WIN! Im learning bro from you keep it up good job.

The El Monstre is not bad at all. I smoke about 4-5 blunts a day and I get high off half a blunt.
Considering I have smoked some that I have to smoke 2 blunts for the same effect.
The smaller budz that cured up nicely have a good smell to them but the bigger budz seem to be a little dryer.
I think it would be some good bud if I did it properly at the flush. I too am looking forward to the Extrema.
I have one Extrema and 1 El Monstre clone that I switched to flower yesterday.
Really hoping this Extrema is a female.
And yes I'm pretty anal about things.
Not a perfectionist but definitely don't like taking shortcuts and using cheap shit that I have to replace in a week.
I'm learning as I go and it will take a couple grows for me to get into a rhythm with it. Thanks!
