DWC Scrog Grow Extrema & El Monstre!

Ok so I am down to the 1 Extrema. The El Monstre died also. Its roots werent touching the water even with the pot being submerged and I cant seem to water them while im working so we had a big get together with all of our family and close friends for the ceremony. It was a sad day. Jk didnt have any ceremony or anything just threw them in the trash. Thats why I have 3 more seeds in germ tho cuz I figured they were all gonna die except the Extrema. I lowered the water level a little to where I have an air space between the pot and water now. I have one root that is in the water a good 3 inches and starting to get about 3 more coming from the pot. The plant looks good and healthy tho. It is 9 days old since the day it sprouted and has its first set of leaves that still have not surfaced fully. I see these other plants on here with 2 or 3 sets of leaves on day 10. Feel like shes a little behind. These others should sprout a little faster and better once they are in the rapid rooters.

I got me some PVC Cement / Plumbers Glue to try on my airstones and see if I can get them to hold finally. They still bubble just not as good. Ill try th e silicone if the plumbers cement doesnt work. Ill take some pics in a day or so. Maybe Ill have a little more growth other than fatter leaves.
Temp: 78 RH: 41% Res Temp: 68 PPM: 330 pH: 5.9

I will fill my res a little different this time. Fill about 1/2-3/4 of water then add nutes and check PPM then add more water and level out the PPM. Instead of fill tank most of the way up and add nutes then have high PPM and cant add more water. I may end up changing from Rubbermaid to 5 gallon buckets withing the next res change. Id like to find out which are female before I switch them but that may be too late in to do that since they would be attached to the screen before I flower. So within another 3 weeks I may have them in buckets. I plan on making them myself so I gotta search around for a good setup design.

Changed res water and glued the airstones down once again. Hopefully they will stay this time. Also added white covers to go over the top of the net pots to keep the light from seeping thru the stones.
pH 6.0 PPM 250 down from 350 so I feel a little better about that. It may still be high but I haven't seen any signs of burn yet. I checked my seeds that are in germ and all 3 of them have cracked on 2nd day. Both strains seem to be real fast so I think once I get them dialed in and the new ones started they should take off. High hopes

Day 9:
I would think it would be a little bigger than this. But hey it's still alive and doing fine. I know my camera doesn't take good high quality pics up close.

hey blu whenever you have the time, check out my grow journal day 8 on page 5 you can start seeing nute burn, and at day 9 they were burnt!!lol with 350ppms. I know they're different strain but they were about that same size at day 8. you're doing good. happy grow.

It is starting to get a little warmer outside and I haven't been running the air inside. My cab temp has been 82 with the light on but that is having the door cracked quite a bit. I have it in a spare bedroom in a mobile home. I have a floor vent right next to it and was debating cutting a hole in the floor and running my duct thru it and either draw intake or exhaust under there. Upon more thinking and contemplating I wonder. Could I crawl under there and cut the air duct and cap off the one end and put a screen on my intake end, then remove the vent inside and get a fitting to hook to my flex duct? It is very cool under there. And it would then exhaust back into the bedroom but it would be cool fresh air coming in. Do I have the right idea with this? I am also looking at a 190 cfm exhaust fan with a 9 inch scrubber. That should be more than enough for my 4x3x6 I would think. Don't be shy people.

Day 10:
Nothing much to update on. Dropped my PPMs to 190 waiting for a growth spurt of some sort. I have the bottom of the net pot about an inch out of the water and m bubbles splash up and wet the roots. Should I still be submerged until more roots form cuz it is still just the one root hanging in the water. I don't see any nute burns but the rounded leaves are slightly yellow like maybe lack of nutes. Not sure yet. Im gonna see how lowering the PPMs affect the plant and go from there. I don't want to get it used to PPMs around 250-300 until I get the other 3 back in there. My Extrema is lonely in there by herself. It's giving me time to mess with the water tho and experiment with it a little. My PPM seem to rise a little over the day or so. Like before I lowered the PPM they were like 208 then later in the day they were like 220. So I took a 2 qt pitcher and scooped out 3 pitchers of water (well water 52 PPM) and replaced with 3 pitchers of fresh cold water and dropped it to
190 PPM pH 5.9 Cab Temp 79 RH 45% Res Temp 70.
Crossing fingers that my Rapid Rooters come in the mail tomorrow cuz these seeds are ready to produce some skunyun.

My Rapid Rooters came in the mail yesterday. I took a piece of styrofoam and cut 3 holes in it the size of the plugs. Sit the styrofoam in a deep aluminum (lightproof) kitchen container and filled it up with water to 1/4 in up on the rooters. Then stuck a toothpick thru the side of them from side to side to hold the plug from falling thru the styro. Then placed a clear plastic kitchen container over them and I checked this morning and my dome humidity and temp were Temp 82 RH 65% and Temp 79 RH 42% outside the dome. They are real moist like I can squeeze on them and see the water like a sponge, but they are only like a 1/4 inch under. All 3 seeds were a little further along than I wanted them to be for planting but my Extrema will prob be sprouted up by the end of the day. Will have to see how they look after work. My other Extrema is still alive even tho it has looked the same for the past week it seems. My round leaves are still yellowish like no color to them and my leaves are light green with no sign of nute burn at all. Its like it just stopped growing or stumped. I had PPM 190 and I checked last night and they were 208 and again this morning PPM 200 so maybe she is starting to feed some. So if they are lower this afternoon then I take that as a good thing and hope to see some more growth. I'll take some pics later on.

Checked PPM again and up to 215 PPM. My leaves are still pale and I haven't seen any growth at all. VERY SLOW if any. Lowered PPMs back to 190. I have Vinegar in the res to lower pH but I wouldn't think that would stop growth. I don't see nute burns so I don't know if lowering the PPMs to say 150 would make a difference or what the deal is. On the bright side two of my sprouts popped out of the rooter so we will see how they do. If anyone has any advice on my slow growth or pale yellowish leaves I would appreciate it.

I have had an air space in between the water and the net pot with only 1 scraggly root hanging in the water. I raised my water level to 1/4 inch over the bottom of the pot which lowered my PPMs to 170. Maybe the air space could be my cause of slow growth? From the root not being strong enough to eat the food. Will have to wait and see what happenes since I raised water level.
