Ten days into veg now, the plants are doing a little better now that I have lowered the light and started the LST method. It's really works good and fast to new lower growth. I've been doing some reading on other threads trying to learn more and become a better grower. I found out that I may a gnat problem. I saw one or two flying around in my tent. I believe it was from the old dirt I put in my cups. It was some fox farm that I had from last season, it was kinda dry in the bag so I thought wetting it alot in the begining would help but from what I've been reading the dirt probably lost some it's nute contents and has larvae starting to form in the soil. I read that adding a little peroxide to your water will help protect your plants from bugs and diesease and kill the larvae. So I need to let my soil dry up all the way, flush them with ph water and add a little peroxide and superthrive and transplnat them in new soil and never use old dry soil again. A lesson learned, also start using peroxide in my watering routine to protect my plants. I think my trainwreck plant has a fugus problem or starving for oxygen because it's yellowish color. My new clone cutting that I cut from my grape ape plant that's in my brothers tent is still doing good. Stuck it in some fox farm soil, no rooting powder or gel just stuck the cutting in some ph water and superthrive and after a few hrs I decided to place it in a cup of soil. I placed it in my tent on top of my light so it wouldnt get direct light but still have some mh lighting and it's been 5 days now and it's still alive so I decided to place it under the light with the other plants hope it's ready. I started a stealthy clone cab. Picked up a tray, dome, heating pad, rooting powder and jiffey peat pellets also using some super thrive in the ph water. I got the cutting's from my brother's 600W hps grow tent. He had a few plants that needed to be topped so why not learning to clone while we are learning to indoor grow. It's just been one day so I hope it work's out.
