MK's Winter Indoor grow

So I have set up a grow for the winter. I will be growing 7 plants in aero - strain is Pitbull. I have never smoked or seen this but it came from the medical club with rave reviews.

I will also have two plants in soil - the were bonzai mothers from a friend, one OG Kush and one Herrajuana. These plants were mited up pretty good and have been chopped to shit from all the clones taken from them, but I have cleaned them up and killed the mites and gave them new soil.

I transplanted them into some 5 gallon pots using Ocean Forest potting soil. They look a little sad right now due to travel and transplant shock.. I am sure they will spring back just fine. The Avid and Neem combo usually makes the plants look bad for a few days anyway but that is better than fucking spider mites.

Specs:
2x 600w HPS with Hortilux bulbs in vented Sun System hoods
Odor sock with 6 inch can fan for exhaust.
6 inch intake fan from outside fresh air. I have a thermostat and fan controller hooked up to these and will be adding my CO2 tank to it.
GH Aero32 with only 3 tubes - a modified manifold and res - this will house the 7 Pitbulls.

I had to get a space heater in there for lights off time, the temp dropped pretty low.

I will be using the Fox Farm's 6 part organic feeding schedule for the two soil plants and GH 3 part with some Cal/Mag, Hydroguard, and Diamond Nectar added for the hydro set up.

I just dropped the rooted clones in and turned everthing on, seems to be running perfectly so far.

Temps at 75 - I barely added any nutes - about 300 PPM but I will be ramping those up slowly. I plan on keeping them on an 18/6 schedule for a few days to maybe a week then I will flip them to 12/12.

That's about all I can think of right now.. I am pretty tired from setting this thing up all morning.

Thanks dankforall :)

Here are some more pics, this set up is running so smooth I love it.

I added the Co2 and some mylar. I used some styrofoam to insulate my res from the concrete floor.

Temps and Co2 PPM are looking good. I added some more nutes to the res to bring the PPM up to 800.

I also made a DIY exhaust muffler, the air was super loud so I just added an insulated tube - works well too.
I also added some tunes in there too.

I have switched the lights to 12/12 - These things are going fast except the one runty clone I have... it will catch up though. So day 1 of 12/12 starts now. :)

I will probably change the res over tomorrow night after they have their first night of 12 hour darkness.

Hey Humboldt - I bought the temp thing at Home Depot - it was like $12 I think. I got it because it has 2 sensors on it so I set one in the room and one on the exhaust. It works pretty good and doesn't seem to eat up batteries too badly.

I checked out your journal and they are looking really good - amazing work especially for a CFL grow man, keep it up!

More pics coming tonight or tomorrow.

Ah yes Le' Home De'Pot - all your grower needs there  That's where I scored these thermostats to put on my intake fan, exhaust fan, and light vent fan --- $8 each way cheaper than the hydro shop plus I got 3 of them!! They work great too after you get them dialed in.

SO YeeeeHaaawww!! <-- Texan ebonics

I changed the res to the bloom mix.. just really weak so I can ramp it up as it goes.. still at about 850 PPM.

Pic of one of those thermostats:

and day 1 of 12/12 pics... they look tiny but they will go go go I promise.

Looking good pretty good... I too am doing a winter grow on day 5 since sprout XD.

So Home Depot sells growing stuff year round? because I cant find anywhere around here that sells atleast some soil... I also need a hygrometer just like you have, what department was it in at Home Depot?

They were actually right outside the door to the garden area at my Home Depot. They had like 6 or 7 different kinds. I guess maybe I am lucky and the Home Depot by my house has a year round garden center? - I guess the really bad weather hasn't hit us yet so maybe they do shut it down in the bad winter months. You could always order online.. Search Results for thermometer at The Home Depot

:peace:

Edit: - I just realized all of them are out of stock on the website.
