Heruk's 1st Hydro Grow (Indoor Bubbler)(Flora Nova & Floralicious Nutrients)

Greetings
I am Making this Journal to help myself and others.

! it will help me remember the step I have taken and
2 it should help myself and others compare methods

Anyway, here is what I got going on so far

3 10gal rubbermade knockoffs
Some free pots from the local garden nursery
Saudering Pen
1 40gal airpump from petco
3 long airstones approx 12" each
3 short 4" air stones
1 400w hps & 400w MH conv bulb and ballast
litmus paper
Flora nova and Floralicious Plus nutrients form general hydroponics
Miracle Grow Acid
Clay ball stuff ( not recalling the name at the moment)
Rockwool Blocks
3 OTTlites for germination
and most importantly BAG SEEDS
MAD BAG SEEDS!

There is probably a boat load of shit I left out but whatever.

I took my ox (manly knife) and made some holes in the top of my 10Gal tupper's the shape of my pots.
Then I heated up my saudering pen and made a buncha holes to mimic a net pot.
Of course my seeds have germinated and are ready to go into the pots.
18 seeds.
It took 1 day to germ my seeds, paper towel and plate method.
Then I put them into individual rockwool cubes, and put those into a shopping bag filled with my weed breath, and stuck them under 3 ottlites.
Grew like Magic Mushrooms

Next I took my rockwool seedlings and put about 4 in each of my pots.
The pots were filled about 1/3 with clay ball thingys.
Hooked up my hps and let em go.
I use tap, so put in some of my aquarium dechlorinater cus i didn't want to wait a day.
Typical me shit.
I bought General hydro's Flora Nova Grow but when I got home I remembered someone on the forum hear saying Kali likes alot of Nites so I decided to use some of my Miracle grow acid that i use for my orchids.
It has a NPK ratio of 30-10-10 plus trace minerals.
The Flora Nova Has a NPK of 7-4-10.
Plus the Flora Nova has pH buffers in it so as long as you use the right amount you shouldnt have to worry about ph.
In the back of my head I was ignoring the fact that I was using a seedling dilution and not the full strength of the flora nova so the ph might still be a little high.
I know my tap ph is high cuz it killed a few of my discuss fish in my aquarium.
Anyway, the seedlings grew like crazy.
It worked well until a day or so later when I tried to f with the ph using litmus paper.
I added too much vinegar to lower ph and slayed half of my babies.

I immediately flushed and used some water i had sitting in my tub the whole time.
Then I said f it, and germinated 30 seeds.
I decided to use the SOH method (Sea of Huff).
JK its some alright mid grade.
And I might SOG em.
Anyway, after all those seeds germinated in 24 hours I was like

Wtf am i gonna do with all these damn babies?

Make salad? Nah.
I went to the hydro store and got some more rockwool.
I put 3 seedlings into each 1. Lol
I put them in some shopping bags and let them sit under the ottlite and weed breath :

: for a day.
I find that soaking your rockwool in plain tap water and not using lemon is better for germinating weed.
I have no scientific explanation as to why but they rooted in like 32 hours or so.
I took em and threw em into my bubbler
I got some of the Gen hydro Floralicious plus about 5 days later to replace the miracle grow acid(which did well btw).
Its been about 10 days now. ill post more pics later but here is the progress form then to now.

1 week in bubbler

o yea
i was using yeast and sugar in spring water to make c02 but i spilled it into my backup res
so i said fuk that
now im foliar spraying with sodium free seltzar and air changing the room for co2

said f it and started using next to full strength nutrients

the day after that
I got some leaves curling n the edges
weed world mag says its copper deficiency
have yet to figure out how to supplement that
I also suspected my lamp was too close so i raised it an inch or two
at that ot was 16 soi raised it to 18 inches

Just a little
There is about
30 to 35 plants in a 10 gal
so that should pan out to about 10 after i get rid of the males
and of course some inevitable fatalities
I need enough weight to support my habit until my 2nd attempt

the more the merrier...to the point your lights can handle it i guess....
