Default My ebb and flow setup.

I was using bubbleponics up until today. I transplanted the clones I got from soil after time and time again little dirt pieces kept clogging the splitter. I have the watering set to water every hour and a half for a 1 half hour. The tray fills up in about 10 minutes. The PH is 5.5 and i'm using no nutrients, humidity is at 50%. Right now the light is going to be on 24 hours until I buy another timer. Plants seem to be doing OK. Also, the water has turned kind of murky since I didn't really rinse all of the rocks. Strain is called Blue God

Any advice on how often I should water my plants?

    that doesnt make sense man

"every hour and a half for a 1 half hour"

or maybe its this blunt im hitting...

but clean those damn rocks, clean the res.... thas my 2cent...cuz i think you will have problems down the line if you dont

but IMO, i would flood right once or twice a day depending on medium... and see how they like it... once they get bigger and they want more water, give it to them.... i know this sounds kinda cliche but people are right... your plants will tell you what they want and when they wanna drink. its better to underfeed and see than to overfeed and get burned

I have never seen a set up like that.

Definitely reduce the amount you are waterin them.. they look a bit soft.

I think the light need to be lowered and the nutrient levels increased..

If you lower the light, have a fan blowing between the light and the plants...

Some close ups of the plants would be nice..

thought it was a berry feild at first, lol looks like a interesting setup havent seen that yet. but they do look a little 2 wet. the plants wont survive in a marsh, they are not built for that at least have 3 hours between. i just got my deal situated, & the plants are taking off. just dont overdue the nuts like i did at first cost me 3 plants.

The pics are from when it was filled with water.

The plants aren't looking to good. I'm sure now that it was from nutrient deficiency. The leaves are drooping and the plants have lost any shine that they did have. the new growth is yellowish green and my book said that it's from lack of nitrogen.

I've changed the watering schedule to every 3 hours. It waters the plants for 15 minutes. I'm using some of the bubbleponics grow and micro that it came with, Theres 15 gallons in the reservior and I used the whole packet that was for only 6 gallons. The light has also been lowered by about 3 inches. Theres a fan that blows on the plants. Temps at 82F and humidity is 65%. They were showing some signs of spider mites, but now they are getting better.

Here are some new pics, as close as I could get with my shitty camera phone.

I have grown this way in bigger tables and its a good method but you got some issues. In this flood table you use 6 inch square pots with 4 x 4 rockwool cubes that you put your 2 inch rooted rockwool cubes into. Those 4x4 go in 6 inch square pots with a handfull of hydroton in the pot then the 4x4 rockwool cube then pack hydroton clay pebbleds around it. You then place rockwool slabs in the tray in rows and place your pots on top of it as the roots grow out the pot bottom into the rockwool slab and then stretch out making a nice root mass and they wont fall over.Once the pots are placed on the rockwool slabs or mats you fill the res half way with hydroton for the weight and to block light from the roots.Flood the table once every 4 hours for about 15-20 minutes each time when the lights are on.In 12/12 light flood just twice every 6 hours. You were to wash scrub and rinse the hydroton a few times before you use it or it clogs and dirties the whole setup then you gotta disassemble it before you can use it.You ll have to wash out the whole setup and get those pebbles clean .A good strainer and abath tub will help.Watch you nutes closely and keep your ph at 5.8.these plants with fox farm would be around 800 ppm unless they are from clone then up to 1100

Ok, I cleaned out the res and the tray and rinsed all the hydroton, I replaced the water. PH is at 5.8. I also took them out of the hydroton and put them in large two gallon pots, but i left them in the 4 inch net pots and surrounded those in hydroton as well. Aslo I bought nutes today. I'm using a little less then half strength.

You will have problems, you want to know what kind of problems? I will help you its up to you to help yourself a find a solution now!

Ok here's the problem when the plants get better they are heavier so when you flood the table the roots doesn't have anything to cling to to make them stable(hydroton is bad for holding up plants) so when its flooded your plants will fall everywhere and you'll have a big mess. GL!

I took your guy's advice and switched them into bigger pots. I left them in the 4 inch net pots not wanting to disrupt the roots yet again. They seem to be growing slowly but surely. Some of the leaves are wilting from what I suspect is shock and lack of stable nutrients. I've switched the light cycle to 18/6 .
