250 watt HPS closet grow

Welcome viewers. I am going to chronicle my new grow on this thread. I will be growing Snow White by Nirvana Seed Co. I have grown this strain before with success and I want to use up my remaining three feminized seeds before starting another strain.

I started germinating the seeds today. I have also prepared the closet for the grow. I will be using a 250 watt self contained ballast HPS light. I have Fox Farm soil and Fox Farm Nutes. GB, BB, TB. Each plant will be in a 3 gallon pot. As far as other items I am using. Electronic PPM/PH tester, Distilled water, backstrap molasses ( at the end of grow ).

I am excited to begin this grow, and I will update this thread as often as possible. My first grow/harvest I managed to get just over 1 oz per plant. I am looking to double that this time as I will either LST the plants or Top them, I havent decided yet.

seeds are still germinating. I got a chance to snap a couple photos so you guys can see the setup.

Once the ladies sprout I'll post some more pictures.

Welcome readers, today I was able to get a few important things done.
I checked on my beans and 2 of the 3 have germinated and were ready to be planted, so that's exactly what I did.

I had to cover my cups with electrical tape to make sure the roots don't get any light. I snapped a couple pictures.

At this point the 2 ladies are under a light and should sprout in the next 24-48 hours.

I haven't come up with any names yet, any suggestions lol?

Anyways, check back soon, I will post some pics once the plants all sprout.

I started a grow on the 11th, however I am doing it hydroponically. Seed is germed and should sprout within the next 12-24 hours. I like the name Veronica.

P.S. I'm subscribed, interested to see how your plants come out!

Both the ladies have sprouted. I waited until this afternoon to give them some water. They are both under a light right now and so far so good.

Each plant is at about 1 - 1.25 inches in height. I HIGHLY suggest you listen to this song and tell me what you think.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsZRPTLMk9s It's by city and colour, a friend of mine gave me the link, and it put me in a real chill mode. Ok, back to the ladies lol. I'm probably going to transplant them in 5-7 days to their permanent 3 gal pot. Oh, if anyone is wondering, the last seed didn't germinate so I just tossed it.
Tomorrow I think I'll post a few pics to show the progress. Temps are good as well, hovering around 75 degress.

I just finished working out, took a protein shake, and I am out for the night, I gotta work in the morning. Keep at it, and keep the creativity flowing.

What up brothers. I had a pretty productive day today. I decided to take apart the inside of my car lol. It's a late nineties model honda. About 4 years ago I was picking up bud and got spooked when the cops rolled right by me when I was parked and smoking. So I took my glass straight shooter and got it lost behind my console but was never able to retrieve it.... Until now. Vacuumed the whole thing out, cleaned the upholstery, windex on the windows. Feels nice again.

Then I decided to setup a bunch of CFL's that I had laying around, and use those to veg my 2 plants rather than a 250 watt HPS. Right now I have 5x27 watt CFL's on the 2 plants. I could double that if and when I want, up until I flower, and who knows I might switch in some 2700k cfls and use that to maximize the capabilities.

I snapped a few pics of the ladies. I just watered the about an hour ago.

The 4th pic is the pipe that I was able to retrieve from inside my car lol, literally.

The 2nd to last pic was how you can take a cheap mic golden light out of a can, put it in a glass, and now you have image and it seems to taste better.

I watered the ladies today and they're doing pretty well. I snapped a few more photos as well.
They are still under the CFL's right now, and they have light on them for 24 hours. (though) I like to turn the lights off for a few mins or so a day just to give them a break.

It has been a while since I have gone through and re-read a lot of the stickied threads, and after doing so I have decided on what I wanna do.

I decided that I'm also going to top these plants instead of doing a screen of green (scrog) like I initially thought I would.

Now, if presented the idea of topping, why would someone go for 2 colas rather than 4? I personally think it's because people cut above the wrong node, as if the cotyledons is the first true node. If anyone knows any "good reasons" to go for 2 rather than 4 colas, lemme know, im really curious lol.
