Default somango/whitewidow ENORMOUS BUDS! ~LoveIt

ahem...

now that i have your attention.

BREEDING - Super Skunk - Big Skunk Korean - Jack Herer
Indica: 75% Sativa: 25%
MINIMUM YIELD 15-20 grams ~ FLOWERING 9-10 weeks
Somango blends the multiple hybrid Jack Herer with Big Skunk Korean to form the fruitiest of all Soma's strains. Previously known by Soma #5, this complex cross was renamed for its tropical mango aroma and flavor. Somango is optimal as a multiple branch plant, since its genetics encourage long side branches and a height on the taller side. A sea of green method can still be undertaken, but branching and height will need to be controlled. Soma prefers to grow on soil indoors with fully organic nutrients, but other media will also give satisfactory results. As it matures, the leaves shade to purple and the buds become covered in a carpet of crystals that makes fine finger hash. While a moderate yielder, Somango's bud possesses sublime qualities. The fragrant and tasty Somango smoke delivers a buzz that is very uplifting and mentally stimulating in its effects. You can smoke this pot without turning into a remote control-wielding couch potato. Euphoric and alert, Somango is a good choice for shifting mental attitude and is a good companion to all of your favorite creative undertakings.

Genetics: Indian/Brasilian
Variety: Mostly Sativa
Type: Stabilised Hybrid
Harvest Date: End of October
Flowering Period: 8 weeks
THC Content: 15-20%
Characteristics: Plants white with crystals.

This strain appeard in Holland at the beginning of the 1990’s and quickly became a hit in all the coffee shops and not long after around the globe.
It is a potent cross of a Brasilian and an Indian sativa. Its name stems from its immense crystal production that makes it shine and glimmer.
White Widow can be grown both indoors and outdoors finishing indoors in around 8 weeks and outdoors in late October.
This is a great strain for wannabe breeders but will also suit those that enjoy an easy to grow strain with a very strong sativa effect.

may these seeds now fulfill their destiny.

begin-

3 somango, 3 white widow -courtesy of World Wide Marijuana Seeds
impeccable service in every way, and stealthy.

here they are, tucked in their damp, little crib

ironic, isn't it- putting them to bed is what wakes them up... they're perched upon the refrigerator, and i'll check in again on them late tomorrow night to see if they're still moist. i plan to clone, so i only need one female of each, but the more, the merrier.

this is my 2nd grow, the first was with bagseed- first grow conditions so far: any feedback?

i'm looking to get my light a lot closer to the plants this grow, so i'm going to upgrade my hood- i really need to buy a new hood reflector as soon as possible, so if anybody has a strong opinion about one they favor, i'd love to hear about it.

Default the medium

it is said by some that plants growing in coco coir can take advantage of the same benefits of both hydro and soil grow mediums, offering a hydroponic-grow yield with typical soil-grow quality of taste and aroma.

here's what i have. it comes as a brick, and you add water to it.

so i picked up a bucket from home depot, convenient for measuring... now it's time to hydrate some coco coir!

i have a digital pH pen on the way via post that should be here any day, but in the meantime, i did the best with what i've got. here's the status of my city tap water:

definitely under 7.

there appears to be trace amounts of chlorine in the water now, a bit more than there was this past summer.

so i plopped it in to the water and let it sit.

after it sits for the designated time, begin fluffing the coco...

i'll be using straight coco coir for the seedlings, and when i transplant them the first time, i plan on mixing a ratio of 60% coco/40% perlite, to let the roots breathe in as much oxygen as they want for the rest of the grow.

Default the sustenance...

i'm using the organic nutrient line by biobizz BioBizz

it is supposed to be really good stuff, and it's a little cheaper than the advanced nutrient line

Bio-Grow is a liquid plant food that promotes lush growth and is suitable for most all soil mixtures. It is a fertilizer and soil activator that can be used with drip irrigation systems. Bio-Grow can be used late in flowering as a plant tonic.

APPLICATION
Complete liquid plant nutrient. To be used during the whole cycle (vegetative and flowering period) of the plant.

DOSE
2 – 4 ml per Litre water. Use with every watering.

Bio-Bloom natural bloom formula is a complete fertilizer used from the beginning of a fruit or flower production until harvest. It is packed with naturally occurring minerals, micronutrients, amino acids, and hormones of vegetable origin to ensure exuberant flowers and fruit sets. Bio-Bloom can be applied through manual watering or automatic drip irrigation systems.

APPLICATION
Complete liquid plant food. To be used during the whole flowering period of the plant.

DOSE
2 – 5 ml per Litre water. Use with every watering.

Alg-A-Mic vitality booster utilizes cold-pressed seaweed concentrate to provide an assortment of micronutrients vitamins, amino acids, and hormones of vegetable origin. Used as a soil drench or foliar spray, Alg-A-Mic increases plant health and disease resistance, while giving leaves a vibrant green color.

APPLICATION
As an additive to the regular nutrient or plant water. To be used during the whole period (vegetative and flowering period) of the plant. Can also be used as a leaf additive.

DOSE
2 - 5 ml per Litre water. 1 - 3 ml per Litre foliar spray. Apply on and underneath the leaves.

TopMax is a 100% vegetable based organic bloom stimulator that encourages rapid cell division during flowering and increases the production of transport sugars in the fruit or flowers, resulting in a larger blossoms and fruits with enhanced flavours, oils and aromas.

APPLICATION
As an additive to the regular nutrient or plant water. To be used during the whole blooming period of the plant. Generates explosive flower production. Suitable for all substrates and mediums.

DOSE
2 - 5 ml per Litre water. Use with every watering.

RootJuice is a 100% vegetable based root stimulator that creates:
- Explosive root growth in already rooted plants.
- Accelerated nutrient uptake.
- Toleration of high EC values.
- Stronger plants that are resistant to disease.

APPLICATION
As an additive to the regular nutrient or plant water. To be used until the flowering period of the plant. Activates and stimulates the micro-organic life around the root system. Generates explosive root growth. Suitable for all substrates and mediums.

DOSE
2 - 5 ml per Litre water. Use with every watering.

BioHeaven is a specially formulated Plant Energy booster which contains carefully selected biological stimulants, such as amino-acids. Amino-acids are the basic building blocks for the proteins and enzymes, which are essential to the structure and the metabolism of plants.

As a result, BioHeaven enhances utilization and translocation of nutrients in fertilizer blends & foliars and boosts up the anti-oxidant system of the plant, rids the plant of toxins built up during periods of stress, repairs chlorophyll and restimulates the plant.

The L-amino acids used by BioBizz for BioHeaven are extracted from soybean cake and other organic protein sources via enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation. This process ensures the amino acids to be extracted in L-form, the only absorbed and used by plants. Besides the L-amino acids, BioHeaven contains natural aged humus, one of the most versatile components in soil environments. This component, in combination with other operative substances in BioHeaven, increases extremely the quantity of minerals in the soil. Normally, the percentage of minerals uptake lies around the 5-10%, the substances within BioHeaven can raise it up to 95%.

These processes stimulated by BioHeaven enhance the availability of nutritionally important trace elements, which are capable of entering plant cells.

Benefits:
* Highly concentrated.
* Rapid and complete uptake of the key nutrients.
* Accelerated chelation of essential macro and micro nutrients.
* Improves yield and quality of harvest.
* Improves moisture retention in plants and reduce moisture stress.
* Stimulates enzymatic systems in plants to increase plant respiration.
* Provides a valuable source of carbon for soil micro-organisms.
* Compatible with all fertilizer programs/ brands, both biological biomineral or synthetic.

Dosage:
1-5 ml per liter. Start using in the second week of grow. Stop using two weeks before harvest.

here's the feeding schedule. i'll be following the light-mix diet, as that will be best suited for coco (since their are no nutrients in coco coir).

i'll be using the following as my rough guide for the nute concentration through the grow, thanks skunkushybrid for your help in this area:

It depends, come in lower if you like. It's all about testing out your strain. Sometimes I'll only start concentrations in the 1st week of flower at 1.0... but some strains will be sweet up to 1.4 at the first week of flower. Never though, go above 2.0. Only ever hit 2.0 at the mid flower point. 2.0 is about the limit any strain can take. Then only really at the mid-flower point.

Peak at 2.0 ec at the mid-flowering point, and then work your way back down again.
i'll be measuring in ppm, since that is the pen i got...

http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/6...chedulesi5.jpg

so i'll have to convert skunk's recommended levels from ec to ppm:

this is no joke, folks...

Looks v interesting mate....u got my attention anyway!

One question though. You're growing in coco right? How come you're not using coco/coir specific nutes? Or the EarthJuice nutrient range to go with the coco product?

I am going to try a coco grow next year with Canna Coco.
Good luck with it all anyway. Look forward to following this one!
