Okay...

so for $80 I got a clone and 25 Seeds of Northern Lights#5 x Hash Plant...

--------------Overview of first week:-----------------------------

For now I put my clone into my greenhouse and began Germination of 8 seeds.

Clone is growing like crazy showing new growth or steady growth daily.

I began germinating my 8 seeds in Wet papertowels with some water at the bottom of the jar and put it in the dark cupboard 6 days ago... the seeds barely look cracked and have just little white pin-heads on them which has me worried if they will even sprout at all....

Yesterday I said what the hell and put 2 of them in Jiffy 1" peat pots and stuck em in my greenhouse. These 2 seeds showed the biggest white pinheads out of the group... At this point i have no idea what they will do or how long, or even if they will sprout up from the soil... so we'll see what happens. The other 6 seeds in the cupboard really havent done much.. so ill just keep waiting i guess.

My main mother clone is about a foot tall and is very healthy... I clipped off a lower branch and tried to root 3 clones after dipping in green light rooting mix and potting in 1" jiffy peat cups filled with peat moss...

its now been 24 hours since I planted my small clones (looks like a leaf poking outta the soil) and surprisingly they dont look bad or any different than when i took the clippings! Most would agree that i cloned too young off that momma clone but what the hell cllipping that lower branch encourages growth to the top anyways so nothings really lost if they dont make it, I can always pull clones later in a couple weeks....

Below is my Juliana Greenhouse which is 30"L x 20"D x 72"H which i paid $35 at Lowes.

I have wired up 2x Lithonia 24" 2 slot T12 fixtures giving me 4 slots.

2 of the bulbs are grow lights from OTT-Lite and the other two are GE Gro-Lux ...all bulbs are 20w ..giving me 80w

I also installed 2x 90w CFL's in 10" clip on reflectors for a total of 260 watts.

I think this is sufficient for a couple plants... Im debating whether to add a 900 LED light bar from eBay that i saw for like 100 bucks.. but i honestly dont think ill need it yet.... i think maybe 2 more 90w CFL's should be just fine...

I chose not to go with HPS due to the plastic greenhouse material and I just dont like the idea of leaving on huge hot lamps when im not home...

If anyone has any tips for getting these other 6 seeds to germinate please lemme know! thanks!

Ya my dog is named Diesel... every grower needs a ferocious attack dog... I chose a MinPin and hes one bad mofo for a little guy... lol

Also im not looking to sink a bazillion dollars into these first couple plants... I wanna get my investment thus far back and then some before I go balls to the walls with all the crazy equipment... so for now its Lights, soil, and a greenhouse... later its hydro co2 and hps...

notice for 35 bucks this greenhouse has removable shelving which allows me to constantly adjust my Flo's accordingly! its perfect!

did you try and clone the branch with the fan leaf ?

i dont see any growth nodes. do you have pics of the clones ?

Ya the one the arrow is pointing at... at the base... there are a couple fan leaves on that branch and I made 3... surprisingly lol after i checked on them today, one actually looks like its growing, the second one shows slight yellow on a leaf, and the third looks no change... lol thatd rock if it worked...

Looks like you have everything on lock down, and just keep waiting for the rest to germinate... patience is your friend haha

I am envious of your breed selection, can't wait till I get my hands on some northern lights x haze seeds. I guess now I'll have to keep watching for these babies to grow!!

Alright!... heres the update... its now tuesday afternoon and I did my mini clones on sunday... surprisingly all 3 look fine... also my main momma plant has grown a shitload of new growth all over from trimming those lower branches... on the flipside... the 2 jiffy pots with nothing in them contain the 2 seeds i started germinating a week ago in papertowels which were only shoing a little white pinhead of a tap root still havent sprouted but thats okay.. the other 6 are STILL in papertowels in the dark cupboard which i just cant get a taproot on ... so ill just keep em there.. fuck it lol...

the first couple pics are of my mini clones... youll see that number 2 has some potential ...the other two havent shown any thing positive OR negative...

The last couple pics are my momma plant... the one with the paper behind it was takin 2 days ago prior to pulling clones... the last ones (in the greenhouse) are the same momma plant just a few minutes ago

by the way ...for all u photographers out there this is a $100 Olympus 3mega pixel camera bought about 4 years ago.... so if anyones pictures suck, chances are its NOT your camera :P lol
