MY 1st PC grow box grow

Ok folks i am starting a thread on my first ever grow. i am an avid smoke never grew though. I am using a 24'' pc box which i made with 4 cfl 23w lights. One intake and one exshuast fan with my timers on a 18/6 cycle. I am leaving the fans run for a full 24hr cycle. I attached some pics.

My seeds( juicy fruit) or what i was told.

I do understand i dont know what i am fully doing but with the thanks to uncle Ben and riddle I hope to have a good crop. let me know what you guys think and any tips. please dont be to hard on me this is my first grow.

2 things, if that is tin foil get rid of it, replace it with mylar (causes hot spots and can burn your plants) may be adding to your temp problem as well

need to either lower your light or raise your plants, your geting a bit of stretching in that first pic, not a big deal cause you can transplant it in a few weeks and bury the stem up to about an inch under the cotyledons (first oval leaves) and that will fix it but getting it closer to the light now will slow down the stretching. Not to close at this age like 4 inches and then once the first true leaves show move it to 3 inches and then once the next node come out move it to 2 inches away

Your a ways off from starting LST

Have you planned out how your gonna train em?

i plan on once the 5th noid comes to clip it and then trying the 'pining them down' method any other ideas?i do have limited space as you can see.

what are you growing? You might be better off order a lowryder auto type seed that doesn't get too tall.

Having said that -- awesome choice in growing your own. It will be the best shit you ever smoked. It will be fresh, clean, and strong.

The only problem is that your "friends" might want to hang out more often.

Grats on your first grow.

Since you have a space issue you are going to have to put them to flower early. Make sure that your plants dont outgrow the box.

damn thanks eeryone, I moved them closer to the light and they loved it and it looks like they are not getting as big which is good right now. I willl take another pic in a couple of days. i am going to remove the foil and go with mylar this weekend. like big said go slow and take your time. im in no rush my buddy still hooks me up but ya im going to have to keep the wolves back when she blooms.

tatan you saymake them flower early any ideas? i didnt really read about or see that in the threads i have read so far but like i said at the begining of this post, i have never grow anything in my life, except maybe in 1st grade. With everyones help here i hope to have a decent yeild. oh ya i suck at grammer which you all can tell.

with your pc case your gonna wanna flip em about week 4, should be able to top around week 3 just gotta watch em and wait

Flip em = put in flower

the slang is refering to flippin the lights to 12/12

i belive i am in week one (you tell me by the pics) so 4 weeks from now turn the lights to a 12/12 cycle and that will trick them to bloom? I also havent used that fox farm nuts yet(like you sadi week 3)

i have a pc that i have made but yet to start i am here for the ride. that will be my 2nd grow my first was in a stealth dresser and it came out well so good luck. but i topped at my 4th node.... and it tripled it size in the flower stage so keep that in mind

hey rwerner4 thanks for coming along for the ride! start germinating so we can compare along the way! any pics of your pc? i luckly have a hydroponics store near for nuts and other advanced things for me but that is for a later date . I just wanted to start in good soil and see what grows.

riddle what do you think? 4th?5th? hell 8th? im high!

Like Big said just be patient, we got 3 more weeks to "worry" about it LOL

amen to that! well im passing out , thanks for the help. oh ya i watered her today the soil was crisp and oist about half way in. im trying to every 3-4 days

When plants are in the veg state (24 or 18 hours of light), if they are getting good lighting they wont get tall. As somebody said your plant was geting tall to reach the light. However when you switch to 12 hours (to induce flowering), if they have a lot of light they will stretch to make room for the buds. So you have to expect your plant to get to up to 3 times as big during the flowering stage. So i wouldnt wait 4 weeks, I would wait until the size is right to put the plant to flower.
