First grow Og Kush

Hey all just been lingering around reading aot of threads and decided to start one specifically to my grow

Anyways heres the set up its a 4x4x8 closet

400 watt hps for flower with econowing alluminum reflector

Walls covered with emergency weather blankets for reflective

Growing in Fox Farms OceanForest soil in 2 gallon pots

Now the fun stuff im pretty far behind on this will prolly be smoking before your caught up but here we go.

Went to dspensary to look around for some clones to pick up but was not happy with their options of clones but they had a beauty of a plant so i picked it up for 30 bucks
Strain: OG Kush (oaksterdam genetics)
She s ay18 inches tall when i got her and unfortunately didnt have a veg room yet so we vegged her an additional 7 days under the 400 w hps for 18/6. She grew about 8 inches in the 7 days and was 25 inches tall when i put her into 12/12.

Itwas all good at this point I had begun feeding Fox Farms Tiger Bloom at recomended levels. She ate them up and stretched pretty good in the first 2 weeks fower but it was then that I began to notice GNATS!!! Everywhere!!!!! They were crawling in and out of the bottom of pot and the top. I first used insecticide soap and i saw population drop immediately was pleased but 2 days later they were back with a vengeance!!! it was then that foudhis sightand determined that I had been overwatering (obvious Newb Mistake) and had infected my whole house with fungus gnats. Since I was still early in flower had alot of options. I chose to use thisstuff I got at the local hydro store called Go Gnats it has sulphur in it which scared me a litle bit didnt want sulphur weed but gnats were out of control i mixed half strenghth of recomended and watered plant as normal one time and sure enough it took care of those little fuckers. To be safe though i picked up some organicide spray and sprayed plant and top of soil more as a preventative thananything didnt want any more problems evewrything looked good. Flowers began t show after about 4 days of 12/12.

Anybody feel free to comment on anything on here im kinda hoping to get this going. Ayways as i left off gnats were gone. It was progressing good until week 7 when i read that you should feed your plants with molasses. This was foolish as I had to learn the hard way it fried all my fan leaves off. They just crumbled to the touch total magnesium deficiency from what i have read now and learned and actually had to harvest early at 54 days due to the mag def it actually began to burn the leaves in the buds and I had some amber trichs so we pulled her. She finished with 9 top colas un topped plant just stretched that way and was 36 inches tall. Final harvest from her 11 days early was 65 grams dried and still in the process of curing. She didnt turn out as nice as id have liked but still 2 ounces and learned alot i already have the next batchgoing and in my next post will begin that jouney. Alright so I learnd alot from my last and actually began these before she was done sorry for skipping around its my first time on here bear with me im pretty far behind. Ok so about week 4 of the last plant we decided to begin the next batch. We didnt have alot of options for a veg area so I got creative with what we had around the house which turned out to be a dog cage 3.5x4x3.5. I went to the home depot and picked up two 2 tube t-12 with 40 watt natual sunshine complete spectrum bulbs. I wrapped the cage with a thick tarp to keep the light in/out and hung the lights and then went to find some clones. Found some at the first club I went to and was happy with their selection so i picked up 4 clones 2 in 2 inch rockwool and 2 in these little grow plugs that I cant remember what they are called. The strains:
Master Kush
Pre 98 Bubba Kush
2 Blackberry Kush

They were all rooted already so i brought them home and transplanted them right into the fox farms soil which i had prepared inadvance into 2 gallon pots and got them under the lights running 18/6.
The next day we decided that maybe we could get 2 more we had the space for them and would still be legal compliant so we went to a different club and picked up 2 more clones. These ones came in 2 inch rockwool inside of a 4 inch rockwool and were so rooted beyond ready for transplant these strains:
Blue Dragon (Sativa)
Shaman Kush

Brought them home and got them into 2 gallon pots like the rest and began to veg them also.

how old is she before you put her into flowering? how tall was she? thanks!

I kept vegging the 6 under the t-12 and would periodically bring them into the flower closet to sit under the 400 watt light for at least a couple hours a day they loved their time under the400 watt light. I also treated them all with organicide during this time as a preventative to keep them healthy they really loved the organicide and i know now its made with edible fish oil so its like spraying your babies with foliar feed while preventing pests. its a win win situation in my eyes. I also was feeding them at reccomended levels wth FoxFarms Grow big and some stuff that I figure couldnt hurt Superthrive. Superthrive is basically vitamins for your plant and it smells like vitamins. Supposed to be loaded with b-1 which if i understand right is a root stimulator. well they are all doing great and are growing about an inch a day some more then others. The Shaman Kush and Blue dragon were way more rooted then the other 4 and grew at a more rapid rate. The Blackberry kush worries me the most due to its candelabra like growth Im afraid of space especially since I have 2 of them but oh well we are committed at this point.

Unfortunately I dont have a specific age she was 18 inches when I bought her. 24 inches tall when I induced flowering and she finished around 36 inches tall. Yielded 65 grams. and i did have to pull her early if only I could have kept her healthy to the end shed have put on a considerable amount of weightbut oh well on to the next right?

Well this is around the time that I picked up some Jupiter OG from the store and spadout taking more veg pics and have since induced flowering they are all in flower now and these pics were last friday and will take and post fresh ones tomorrow but they are all looking great. I began lighter then reccomended feedings of Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and am continuing to use the superthrive during every watering nutes every other. I moved these allnto flower at approximately 12 inches tall and they have completed stretch and are all 24 inches now with nice flowers everywhere.

Any and all comments would be appreciated here im definately still learning so any advice on anything is appreciated and also i could give advice on any problems i haverun cross myself lets talk it up. Growers and Tokers Unite!

Alright as promised heres some pics that i just took. I wish i could take them out of the hps light so they arent all red looking but not sure if it would stunt them to move them out of the light so I just leave them in there but here they are

I hope im on track today a couple of the leaves were yellow on the shaman and fell off to the touch I hope its nothing to worry about I will be monitoring closely. I dont believe that I am overwatering since im being extra careful I dont want fungus gnats again so I have definately been drier on this run. Anyway let me know what you guys think I have only been on here a couple days I know but I understand why people dont finish their threads all the way through because nooone shows interest so help me stay motivated guys and ill keep this thing going.

Ha Ha I dont care as much as she does about my face we were really just trying to do a throw back pic to when we used to read high times and see those pics with people hiding their faces back in the day. I dont really feel the need to hide my face I have my licence and im state limit compliant so its all good. Thanks for posting though.

Alright well i anyoneis watchingthis let me know orill just keep my private journal off the net. Well the girls all look good considerabe gains on the blue Dragon especially. I see why she is called blue Dragon this week because if you catch her at the right angle the calyxs are tinted blue she is truly beautiful. It seems like the shaman kush spent this week producing resin yum yum!

Whats up all Hope your Holiday was as blazed as mine as I been delivering weekly I got some new pics of the girls. They are all looking and smelling so good. Its fun having various strains flowering together and having their individual scents mingling together for a glorious multiscent oeverything good. Here they are

I also have started a hashplant seed I got from a bag of decent hashplant bud from a dispensary unfortunately im an idiot and started celebrating the holiday early this year Im not sure if its one wek or 2 weeks old pretty sure its a week though lol. Anyway I germinated it 2 days in a paper towel soaked in a fiji water ph 7.0 water and Superthrive solution and the seed opened first day by day 2 it was 1/4 inch long root so I planted it in some Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil about a 1/4 inch deep and put it under a 4 foot 2 tuube t-12 with natural daylight full spectrum 40 watt bulbs about a half inch away under a 18/6 light cycle. It popped out of the dirt the next day and has been going strong I think. Its my first seed I really hope its a female if it is im going to try some topping and pruning to learn some different grow styles and see what will maximize yield and such. On the batch I have going right now I pruned lower branches on 2 of the 6 and have seen increased size in my buds so im concluding that pruning does help with just that at least so far. Im also excited to say I sent an e mail to get a pre order going for my next batch of the clones. I found the dispensary on weedmaps and they are clone only which excited me but the strains I am requesting

well i been posting weekly and yall suck my plants are all doing ok. Had a problem with bugs on my blackberry kush not sure at all what they were they had wings and were just sitting on my buds. I pulled out of closet immedately and used electronic air cleaner to blow those bastards off the buds and sprayed them with organicide and will treat them with organicide every 4 days for 3 apps hope it works t get them to harvest thats all i have time for that will give the plants 3 weeks to harvest after last application which im hoping is enough time to wear off any residual from organicide. Another development since my last post is my Blue Dragon turning purple and looking beautiful anyway if anyone can help out with the bug thing cool if not oh well enjoy thepics anyway.

I don't have much advice as I am really new to this, but I will give yah some props bro. Ganj looks gnar gj.

Well I pulled these 2 ladies out lat night as lights went out for 2 minutes to take somepics out of the 400 watt hps pics suck under those lights but what are ya gonna do the girls love it anyways heres some nugporn let me knowwhat you think?

Well today is day 60 for my shaman which i now know is shamans high formerly known as starlight. I been checking my trichs daily since day 55 and they all look cloudy with a couple amber heads I havent seen a difference since so no variance for 5 days. My fan leaves have all turned yellow and some have completely withered like the plant is eating them? I dont know I gave her a watering today so I will give her tomorrow under the light and then After lights out I will pull her and stick her in my bathtub for a day in complete darkness for 24 hours Im told this may help a last resin burst?? anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyway I put her into flower at 12 inches tall and her finishing heighth will be 24 inches tall. The nugs all have good size on them it seemed like this plant had really tight internodes at the tips of branches so they all filled in with each other nicely My prediction for dried weight on this will be 37 grams I cant wait to see how close I am. Anyway sorry no pics this time just doesnt seem like anyone cares anyway. Ill post pics if anyone shows interest in the very least ill finish this thread with the total harvest of all with pics. I may be too baked though lol
