Right lads i have been having trouble logging in over the last week so i just had to set up a new account.
Well day0737 id keep away from the dwarfs and look for a high yielding auto im sure there out there , I grew them in plagron bat mix soil which is suppossed to have all there nute needs for the first 6 weeks then i just fed them with a plagron bloom nute a couple of times.
Just checked the trichs with 60 - 100X magnification and i can see the first sign of them turning amber ,most of them are still mainly cloudy with some clear so maybe they need another week yet.

Good info about the honey Liblah i might try some 2morrow , do you think there still is a week left in them even tough i see the first signs of amber in the trich's ?
Im itching now to dry it out and the misus is even more anxious to cut off a bud I hope she dont see your post she will be firing up the microwave she mad to smoke up a few scuds of our first homegrown , im going to dry and cure the traditional way ~ patience will hopefully reward meInteresting Libah, must give the honey and water a shot... thanks..
If you really need to smoke the weed like now then i use this method. Much better than any other quick dry methods i've used..
Necessary items
*Tupperware container with lid.
*Buds fresh off the plant (cut into small pieces, dont shred them cut into nice little chunks).
*3-paper towels.
*Microwave with power setting options.
*Water.
First, take 1/4 piece of a paper towel and lay it on the bottom of the Tupperware container. Then put your cut up weed on the paper towel. Next, take two paper towels, fold them several times and get them wet. Wring out most of the water. You want the paper towels wet but not dripping. Now, you lay the paper towels over the top of the Tupperware making sure that you completely and evenly cover the top. Then take the lid and squeeze it almost all the way on. When I say almost I mean to get all sides and corners on tight except for one corner to allow the steam to exit. Now your ready to put your steam dryer in the microwave.
Set the microwave power to 40 or 50 %. I recommend 40% -- I tried it on full power the first few times and it didnt work nearly as well. Now set it for a minute and let it go. Take it out and let the steam evaporate out and let sit for 15-20 seconds. If the bottom paper towel (the one that the buds are on) is wet change it. If the two paper towels you were using are dry make sure to re-wet and wring out and put back over top and put lid on in same way.
Now microwave at 40-50% for another minute and repeat process for typically 3-5 minutes. This is the best method if you need the herb in less than 20 minutes.
This is only a when times are bad... and should really be left to dry and cure properly..
I make sure that at least %50 of the container size runs off and then repeat a few days later, personally i wouldn't do it everyday..
PH is @ 6 , i might only get to flush once or twice more so before the cut but using organic bloom nutes that should not be a problem whereas if they were chemical based i could of ended up with very harsh smoke.

, I put it in an extra minute id say but still was a great bit of smoke , proud as punch and i know they are only going to get better when i cut them dry & cure.

Id take any advice you have on harvest and curing you have been bang on with everything else u shared. Ill be re-reading posts i have visited before about harvest time for the next couple of days , i got some honey 2day like Liblah suggested for there final flush

Other people may have other ideas about things, thats the good thing about growing.. at first you take some advice and over time you can then fine tune that best for your grow..
When I harvest I try and leave it in the dark before giving it the snip..
Once cut, trim it all down and hang up on string or lay on wire mesh, want it about room temp and nevr have a fan blowing towards it and dont put it in the hot press...
let drying do its time other wise it will be harsh. about 7 - 10 days should do it.. test by snapping a branch, it should break but not sanp in half..
then to cure it.... I use a jar and cram a good bit in to it.. Burp it twice a day for 20 mins...
Keep the whole process away from strong light.
As you can tell I smoked a bit of homemade steamed weed!!!
