Chickadie's never ending grow journal

Hi everybody! I am brand new here, but I figured I'd start by introducing my grow(s) - since they are far more interesting than I am.

I started growing in November of last year (2009). My very first plants are the bagseeds mentioned in this grow... some are 30+ days into flowering and some are still vegging it up.

I use Fox Farm Ocean Foreset soil with the Fox Farm Trio Nutes (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom) for my soil grow

I am also experimenting with Hempy Buckets (I have 2 right now) are pure perlite and use the Fox Farm Trio (Grow Big for Hydro, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom)

My Veg Space:

8 Square Feet
Single Fan Ventilation
364-watts of 6500k CFLs 16,800 lumens
I run my veg lights on a 19on/5off schedule. I prefer the CFLs over the MH for a couple of reasons, first - I don't have any heat issues with the CFLs in this space, second - I feel like I am able to better control how bushy the plants are with the bulbs distance from the plant(s).

My Current Flower Space:

8 Square Feet
Single Fan
364-watts of 2700k CFLs 16,800 lumens
78-watts of 6500k CFLs 3,600 lumens

This current flower setup is to finish this grow on pure CFLs - I have 4 plants that are just over 30 days into flowering, with about 30 days to go. Then my flower setup will change to...

My Permanent Flower Space:

8 Square Feet
Single Fan Inline fan
Single Fan Circulation
400-Watt HPS w/ 6" cool tube
Carbon Filter - Inline


My Occupants:

Flower:
3 bagseed plants that are 33-days into flowering (P3, P4, and P5)
1 bagseed plant that is 11-days into flowering (P10)

Vegetative:
1 bagseed plant that is 61 days in veg (p11 - also known as monster plant- but not the actual strain)
1 De Sejamaan Ingemar's Punch (Hempy Bucket w/ Pure Perlite) 33 days into veg
1 Skunk #1 x White Widow Cross (Hempy Bucket w/ Pure Perlite) 33 days into veg

well -- she's not a mother - she's just a plant that's been in veg for about 60 days. She's just a big plant. Tried to kill her (on purpose) a few times -- but the darn thing, won't die.



here she is about a week ago... she is LST'd

are you cloning from that one or are you cloning at all? ANd are you going to flower that monster?

I'm not cloning anybody right now. Going to put her into flowering with the hempy buckets in about 30 days or so.

I have some Short Term Amnesia autos and some AK47 autos that I want to try out.

Still trying to convince my significant other that I need 1 more space for plants

Danng another 30 days she is going to be a good yield. Cool keep us posted on that monster im excited to see how that one turns out,. your significant other see how those ladies grow he be like can we use the livingroom too. lol

haha! well he's quite supportive of what has become a passion/hobby for me - but he sees how addicted I am to it, too. He thinks if he joins in, the plants will automatically die.

But I will definitely keep posting about the progress of my plants.

Just thought I'd post a pretty picture of one of the purple calyxes/foxtails that P4 has formed.

Niceeeee is that the name of the strain? calyxes/foxtails or some slang word idk do you have some past harvest pics? Your doing your thing

even if you are legal you should not use you real pick
there are people out there that will eat your liver with lima beans and a nice budweiser

No, not the name of the strain. Calyxes is the correct name, and foxtail is a common name for the little purple petal/flower looking thing on the top of the bud.

WTF! lol R u High sister? Calyxes is the correct name(of what?) I think I got you with the foxtails, the little hairs poppin out what you mean? lol im just messin with you maybe im high idk or id understand

sweet growin chickadie, do u like the hempy so far i want to start a hempy here soon, and do u know if u have to use hydro nutes for the hempy, grow looks great though im subscribed, oh and also u shouldnt use ur real pic in ur avatar, but do as u please, and that purple flower is awsome, keep up the good work
