My first RIU grow journal.

Since i am having to wait till i get money for my cabinet i decided to put my tent back up and hook up my carbon filter and inline blower. I will be using some bagseed for this grow. 1 possible hermi and 1 unknown. I am planning on collecting pollen from the hermi to save for my auto ak47 if it produces any. I am using a 400 watt hydrofarm xtrasun hps system, active air blower, phat filter 4"x20" carbon filter, 2x 5 gallon buckets with air pump and stones, ebay grow tent for 105 bux, and complete foxfarm line up, plus a few extra small things. My germination method is as follows... get 1 or 2 shot glasses depending on the amount of seeds being used for the grow and some bottled water. Put the seeds in the shot glass with the water, let sit in a dark place for around 8 hours. come back and see if there is a small bubble on the side of the seed if there isnt then let it sit for a little while longer. if there is a bubble then tap the seeds so that they fall to the bottom of the shot glass, what this does is allow some water to enter the seed and help boost the rate at which it sprouts, then let sit for about another 12 hours. come back and you should have a root tail coming out of the seeds then transplant into proper medium. I have germinated 5 seeds with this method and 5/5 have germinated within 24 hours. Let me know how it works for you if you decide to try it. On a side note i will update the thread regularly. well i have changed my mind and am going to use 2 of my easyryder seeds for this grow. since they will be in 5 gallon buckets with dwc i wonder how this will turn out. maybe some pretty massive auto AKs. I will keep yall posted.

It is day 2 since i put them in the rockwool cubes with a half strenth dose of foxfarms seedling schedule and they are starting to break the surface (i know im gonna get alot of shit for giving them nutes right now and giving them light right now, but i assure you i have done it this way before and didnt have any problems at all). Hopefully by tonight they will be getting ready to shed there shell and by tomorrow morning i will have little pod leaves. lights are about 2 feet from the tops of the buckets and there is no heat even around the little seedlings. ppm is at around 400 and ph is at about 6.0 which is fine for seedlings IMO. pics below.

It is day 3 and my little babies are doing just fine looks like my prediction is going to be correct about them having there pod leaves out by tonight. As you can see in the pics the shells are almost shed. Sorry if they are bad quality its the only camera i have right now. Updates will probably happen daily cause I have no life, but owell.

Last night the little easyryders shed there seeds and are looking very nice. right now they are sittin in about 450 ppm water it is half strength foxfarms seedling schedule and about 1/4 tsp. of superthrive. They are loving every minute of it. let me know what you guys/gals think. Sorry for the bad pics.
