A Deadhead's first indoor Adventure.

So here's the deal - being very cost-conservative I am going to conduct a grow that is small and simple. I have grown outdoors for years and i just happened to run out as soon as outdoor season was over.

Items in my possession as of right now =

Seeds = Cap'n Crunch (my own strain although has always been outdoors) - some good bag seed.

Lighting = Currently only one CFL 15W 6500K 120V bulb. I don't know if its warm or cold light but I'm guessing its a full spectrum. (found the thing at my girlfriend's house

)

Box = Filing cabinet (heavily modified)

Income = Around 100 dollars every week.

I believe this light will suffice for the early veg stage. I plan on buying really nice warm and cools later on. I am going to germinate when i have my grow box complete.

Things i still need =

-Fans.
-A homemade air filter (not till later will i worry about this).
-A second light fixture and 2 y-splitters.
-pH gauge
-thermometer+humidity gauge all in one (i think i can get all of these at home depot)

-Soil + Nutes

(i think i can get all of these at home depot in one trip.)

I will keep this updated very often, as i have nothing else to do on my spare time. Please post suggestions and compliments.

Day two - Beans haven't popped yet, it's been under 24 hours and i don't really expect them too anyways....

The 15w CFL burnt out (i think thats why it was in my girlfriend's kitchen drawer) - The growbox is done just need to get some kind of lightproofing for the front, but they are sliding drawers and i don't know how to lightproof this kind of thing (help/suggestion needed).

The weird looking thing on the back of the cab is just some metal defect don't worry.

I too am growing 3 plants right now and at around the same stage. The 6500k is the day light type bulb so its on the blue spectrum. I have 6 15 watts 6500k cfls and 2 42 watt red spectrum cfls. But mine havent sprouted either and im waiting anxiously even though its only been a day.

Yeah we're on the exact same page bro! Still waiting for mine to pop too..I need lights asap though my cfl burnt out that was trash anyways. I will keep everything updated every day or three.

What kind of soil will you be using?
A concealed setup is always nice..Im in the process of making a big one you cant see

I'm using some soil i borrowed from the neighbors, from what i could read on the bag it said "Premium Organic" something or other....I can go back and check the bag for specs if completely necessary but it was brand new and i just opened it when they said to fill up my 5 gallon bucket.

The soil is very dense and its good shit cause they pay top dollar for their gardening shit nextdoor.

By the way, do you think i can keep them in those red cups for the duration of their lives so i can limit size? Or what can i do to make my space inhabitable comfortably by 3 indicas? (look at pics above)
