As for the clear containers, i found out about the light killing roots so i put tape on them to cover up the bottom, much better now.
Yeah the cotainers do have holes, what makes you think im drowining them?

The oval shaped leaves opened up this morning and its first 2 leaves are growing nicely i think.

Well i accidentally knocked the seed shell of today when moving the lights, has been forced to open up pretty soon but seems to be doing ok.

So far they have not had anything other than water and light from 2 20watt cfls, im hooking up my two 42watt and 28watt ones 2morow.

What you think?

Hey again,
from what I have read the mirror is bad because of the way it trasfers the light rays, meaning that it takes in more light then it allows to reflect off of (going to the plants) so the plant get less light so to speak. If you have the option to I would paint the area in a flat white paint. This is what I did- I just found out that you can also use christmas wrap the poly meltal looking type. Now that it is the season I will be looking for this stuf. I was told it is like mylar.
what type of air do you have going in and what type of air do you have leaving the area. What type of light are you useing? you what daylight bulbs or cool white for this stage in there life.

Yeah im going to paint the walls tomorrow, erm just have normal air going in lol, its in a cupboard in my room, far from airtight and it is opened every 30 mins or so, it has a fan in there to circulate the air. i blew up a black sack today and tied up the top and then put 5 finger size holes in the bottom and left it in the cupboard to give a slow release of co2 lol
I had trouble finding any daylight bulbs could only find warm white(2700k) and white (3500k)
Going to try and find some tomorrow as i have another day of college.

SX2: Night 3, Height: 4cm Leaves : 2 oval leaves and 2 of the spiky leaves
SX1: Night 2, Height: 4cm Leaves : 2 oval leaves with slightly smaller spiked ones
The other one: Night 1, Height: 1.5cm Leaves: 2 oval ones but pointing in a weird direction, the spiked ones are there but about 2mm lol
The last one: Night 1, height 1cm, leaves: again 2 oval ones pointing in weird direction, havn't had a chance to look for the spiked leaves yet, most likely the same as the one above.



What do you think of the pictures?
Do you think they look healthy and about the right size for there age?

Just woke up and checked on the plants, abit shocked that theres not been much change in growth in the past 7 hours.
The plants have just finished there first 17/7 light cycle

SX2: Day 4, Height: 4.7cm Leaves : 2 oval leaves and 2 spiky leaves at 1.7cm
SX1: Day 3, Height: 4.2cm Leaves : 2 oval leaves with slightly smaller spiked ones at 1cm
The other one: day 2, Height: 12.7cm Leaves: 2 ovals and 2 spiky ones at .4cm
The last one: Day 2, Height 1.5cm leaves: 4mm
