THC Bomb, Super Silver Haze, Mazzar Attic Grow

This is my attic grow. I will post the pic's I have already taken and try to put the right dates on them. The strains THC Bomb, Super Silver Haze, and Mazzar x Afghan from Marijuanaseeds-nl. I also have some Cheese Afghan seeds but neither of the 2 I planted germinated. I will try the paper towel method next time. I use Botanicare Pure blend Pro and Liquid Karma. My system it a top feed with about 4" of nutes with an air stone in each pot. the pot gravity drain back to the 4" level through the hose in the side to a catch basin with a 2" float switch which send it back to the res. my feed pump cycles for 5 min every 45 min or so. So the thing top feed floods the bucket. The water level goes up into the basket about an inch. It takes about 10 min to drain back down to the 4" level where the roots do the whole DWC thing. It is my mutant hybrid system. I have used this system in up to 24 pot configurations. There are 2 600 watt HPS lights in Sun Systems Sun Tubes, 2 340 CFM fans, I will hook up the carbon filter soon and I will hook up the Co2 when I flower. It will all be tied together with a Sentinel CHHC 1 controller. I plan on growing the seedlings up till I can take 3 or 4 clones off each one. keeping track of which clones come off which plants I will flower the plants to sex get rid of the males and plant some happy healthy 1st generation clones. these first pics were taken 2 days ago on the 12th. They had been planted in the buckets for two days.

These pics were taken today and the difference is totally noticeable. 4 days ago when I put the cubes in the bucket the roots were about 1/3" out of the bottom of the cube. I now have happy hairy little roots poking out of the basket. They grew 4" in 2 days!! WOOT! The red squiggely thing on the bottom of the basket that looks like yarn is an old dead root that my lazy ass didn't get out of the basket.

Went in and topped the 2 Silver hazes and took a few fan leaves off that were covering growth tips. I know some one will bitch about cutting off my fan leaves but in a few days everything will be all spread out and I will have about 6 to 12 good tops instead of 1 or 3. Both silver haze plants are 6 nodes tall. Maybe a foot tall. I'm going for the short bushy effect here because of my height restrictions. I can wait for my garage. Will post pics after plant recover from topping. The roots are developing well; long and white with lots of little hairs. Some are over a foot long and all the plants have reached the DWC part of the system. I am very happy. I will be cutting clones in a week or 2 at this rate and start sexing the mothers.

So here is an update. So I had a little pH drift. The batteries in both my particle pen and pH pen were dead. I did not replace them for over two weeks. I figured "Oh I use this stuff enough I can wing it for a week or two". What a dumb ass I am. I always preach to other hydro growers how important checking you nutes is. Well you slack a little and this is what you get. My pH went up to 7.8 but I had my TDS right on at 1360 which isn't bad for guess work. My pH is now a happy 6.1. I got a little leaf yellowing in the margins but all in all I caught it early enough to prevent any serious damage. I topped them 4 days ago and took a couple of big ass fan leaves out of the way of growth tips. The have recovered from the chop and are about twice as big now. THC Bomb #2 the one on the left in the back took the worst of the pH problem.

I put these under lights 14 days ago. I just gave the have it's second topping. ans switched the lights to 12/12. I took clones yesterday so they loke a little chopped up. I also cleared out a couple of bag ass fan leaves that were covering up tips. The Silver haze is exploding but the THC Bomb is going a little slower but that damn Mazar is just so compact. It's tiny. The weird thing is every one of the plants has 6 nodes. 2 week veg is the shortest veg I have ever done bu I don't have a lot of room. I might not even finish vegging these plants depending on how the sexing goes. If I get more than 1 male it will be better to just restock with freshly sexed clones in all 6 pot. I mean I only need to veg them for 2 or 3 weeks in this room. Here are some before and after pics that are 14 days apart.

This is my update. I went in to 12/12 ten days ago. The silver Haze is just going off. I am looking for signs of sex but haven't really seen much yet. I am only going to grow 1 strain next round and will be giving the rest of my clones to a friend after sexing. with this small of a space I need to focus on keeping them all the same size. I had to pick a new strain to start up this time and I had planned on growing in a garage but things change. It took a little longer than usual to get roots this time. I did not have my particle pen as I loaned it to a friend and it took him like a week to bring it back. so I had to eye ball the KLN and nutes. My nutes were 700PPM!!!!! My pH was 6.4 and I have now way of telling if I got the hormones right but it all worked out in the end.

Had to replace a 600 watt light with a 1000 watt light and move the girls around. I only broke one small bottom branch that would have got cut off later anyway. I think one of the thc bombs is a male. We'll see.

Hope you have better luck with your mazar than we did. We called it the odoul's of weed, it didn't do much. One of my buddies plants never formed any buds but it sure did have a lot of leaves. I have one thc bomb and it's my biggest plant. I got the variety pack from greenhouse seeds through the attitude. It includes four hazes one being super silver haze, ajan's haze#1, strawberry haze, neville's haze and hawaiian snow. I also got some malawi 99, jock horror and sour cream. The jock horror and malawi 99 are regular seeds. I plan on starting four plants, two feminized and two regular and hope I get a male for pollination purposes. Let me know how you haze turns out.
