this is my first grow first is the information about what im doing...

ok to start off im doing a stealth, micro, cfl, soil grow in a small scale dresser

first ill list all the things u need to grow(dumb coming from a beginner but its easier to state the way ill be responding to the things u need)

1. wall/side/bottom/top reflection for the walls for better lumens to your plant.
-ill be using white printing paper taped to the sides/bottom/top of the dresser.

2. light leaks-ill be taping one side of Velcro to the 2 sides of the dresser near the top and 2 on the top roof of the dresser and the other sides taped on to a garbage bag with one side all white printing paper taped to it and the other just a black garbage bag and im using Velcro so the garbage bag will overlap the drawers so o light will leak out threw any cracks

3. Air- in the back end of the dresser i cut out 2 holes at approx.
(not completely circle) becuz i used a knife to do so one at the top right hand corner and one at the bottom left hand corner
the one at the top right was for outtake and the one on the bottom left was for intake they are both just holes right now but i was going to leave them as just open holes until the plants start to flower/bud/smell then i was going to buy enough materials to make 2 homemade carbon filters and add ONLY one fan to the outtake hole NO FAN TO THE INTAKE and becuz i attend collage and live with my family for another 2 years so i need to have no smell and no noise (noise)unless im home(noise)
so i was only going to have the fan running when i get home 3pm to when i go to bed 10 earliest and 12 latest (unless its a weekend) so only have the fan running for a 3pm-11pm schedule on average and mostly longer on weekends

would this work?

4. water- iwas just going to use plain old tap water but i was going to leave it in my closet or something with the lid open for 24-48 hours (which will turn it into distilled water?)

so the ph will be normal correct?

5. odar already stated im using a homemade carbon filter, dryer sheets, and maybe coffee grounds

6.lighting- CFLS ALL THE WAY but not usre the wattage im just going to try and get 4 bulbs of around 23-28 watts of more (what ever i can get for $10)

what store has cheaper lighting? walmart or Canadian tire?

6. light reflectors- im going to be using pie pans/tins for my light reflectors but either putting a piece of wood on the back or not(probably wood or thin wood left from scraps of the dresser) then ill screw the pie pan/tin into the wood and add 2 holes in each pie pan/tin for the light fixture/socket cords on each side. then ill add on more hole on each side a few inchs infront of the ligth socket/fixture so i can add a thin metal chain to the cfls to hole them flat of the surface of the pie pan/tin then add closed screw in hooks( C- looks like this when its a open hook and O- looks liek this when its closed) and attach chains to adjust the light height.

7. lighting adjustments-for adjusting the lights im attaching CLOSED screw-in hooks into the pie pans/tins (or wood on the back of the pie pans/tins) and adding cheap chains(2 or 4 for every pie pan/tin)
and then adding screw in hooks into the roof/top of the dresser so when i need to lower/raise the lights i just lift the chain higher and put the closer/futher link on the chain on the screw in hooks on the roof/top of the dresser

8. outside the dresser set up-i added 2 screw in the bottom of the bottom dresser drawer but they kinda snapped from flipping the dresser up and down and sideways so now the bottom drawer pretty much leans on them but the drawer has the complete same appearance.
although im only going to be opening my top drawer (the one i added hings too((one broke off cuz the dressers a piece of SHIT)) ) so it only has one hing but i added 3-4 garbage ties and tied them around a screw on the inside of the dresser and one on he drawer to help support the drawer hen its opened(becuz the hings were added and the drawers were a bad size theres about a 1/2-1 inch hole where the hing is) but the garbage bag will cover up the light leaks becuz its overlapping every edge, crack, and hole

so to maintain, water, talk to, look at, and play with my plant lol(shes gonna be my good friend that id never fuck u know one of those girls u met in high school that u dated and then dumped and they're like the closest person to u?) lol this is going to be mine lol ok so im going to be adding the pictures i have of the dresser before i did anything and then the steps i did

thats my basic set up/ plan for this grow(my first) i wont yeild much becuz the space in restricted to hight but if they can do in in a pc case i can deffiently do it in this motherfucker heres my steps and pictures of the steps i did (with a legend in my next post after the pictures

color legend

back and front

green - outtake fan with a carbon filter on it
red - outtake hole
blue - intake hole
yellow - white printing paper(covering the garbage bag completly (one side completly black and the other completly white)
light blue - velcrow (one half on the wood and the other on the garbage bag)
purple - door hings and magnetic hing thingy
orange - screws
black - wood/dresser outline
gray - garbage bag

color legend

bottom and top

yellow - white printing paper
pink - metal pie pans/tins
red - cfl bulbs
dark green - light fixtures/sockets
light blue - hole in pie pan/tin for light cords
gray - light cords
light green - chains for adjusting the lights(each pie pan/tin will be adjusted by it self(2-3 bulbs in each)
dark blue - screw-in hooks for adjusting the chains
black - wood/dresser outline
purple - plant pots

thanks man probly the first time someones said nice about it lol cuz its soo ghetto but last time i put maybe $20 buck into trying to grow but i thought about it if ur gonna grow u get what u pay for right?? like u pay say $150 on just a light and $150 on a hydroponic system ur gonna get some bomb shit if u do it right but if i dont do it as ghetto any make it kinda in the middle it ll be alrgith bud i guess

man ive been WAY too baked lately lol never thought of making things LESS complicated instead of making hooks, chains, and hoods why dont i just screw the hoods into the roof of the grow box once i have the lights and then i can jsut raise the plant up instead of lowering the lights lol wayyyy easier ill just use like dvd cases or something better idea right ? anyone ? bump....

heres a little picture update on what i did so far

1 & 2 are just outside pictures of the dresser (the holes wont be there later becuz im still putting a garbage bag with white paper in front of it

3. shows the side i messed up with the hings (i flipped the drawer face around so i could put the hings on the other side)

4. shows the hings from the outside(visible but its not that bad cuz my parents aren't gonna just look at it close enough)

5. the hings from the inside and the other side of the door

6. the magnetic thingy that u use to keep doors and drawers closed with the copper piece on the drawer face

7. plain outline picture of the box with the one door opened

8. closer outline picture with the door opened and the lower face removed(its removable and easy to place back all it is is it have 2 screw and the bottom snapped like on the side i did the hings the first time so it just sits on 2 screws)

9. just a closer picture of the intake and outtake holes (outtakes at the top right) (intakes at the bottom left)

10. just a zoomed in view of the outtake hole

11. the garbage bag and white printing paper reflector thingy this is the one im going to place in front of the drawer faces with just Velcro at the top so i can remove the top half first and bottom half if i need to ill have it done soon this is obivisly the white paper side

Heres the Update as of today

ive added all he velcro to the sides, and top of the dresser and the oppisite velcro to the garbage bag with the white paper on it and ive added one side of white paper the other side and roof are still blank wood but i have school tomorrow so im just going to add the side of white paper and then wait until i buy the light bulbs and find some sockets to add the white paper on the top (im adding white paper on the top even tho im going to be screwing in the pie pans into a piece of wood and screwing the wood into the top

1. picture of the outline (taken before i added the white paper to the side) the garbage bag with white paper that's half in and half out of the dresser is the on that blocks the light leaks with the Velcro

2. a strip of velcro that i stapled to the garbage bag

3. half of the velcro give or take just another picture showing the velcro on the garbage bag that i stapled

4. a strip of velcro on the inside of the dresser(taken before i added the white paper to the side((the paper doesnt overlap the velcro )) )

6. a picture of the main outline of the dresser up til now( in the picture u can see the garbage bag threw the holes but thats just becuz my cameras very new and has a REALLY bright flash(most of these pictures were taken in pitch black ) lol but if this grow works then i can deffenitly get some nice pictures of the hairs and nods

sorry one more picture i forgot to add of the inside with the one side completed

and also....

i was going to add an additional plan black garbage bag strap thats taped at the top just in front of the velcro to help stop light leaks even more.

and becuz as some of u may have noticed the bottom of this dresser has no bottom/floor so its just white paper over my rug so im going to just PLACE not screw, not tape, not glue, just PLACE a piece of wood that has white paint on it (extra shelve from my closet)

just so the plants are level and dont tip over and are just more level and stable

m only adding the paper and im working tomorrow after collage so i will maybe post if a idea comes up or i add/change anything in the grow box

but if i dont ill post the day after tomorrow becuz that's when im buying a new scale and maybe lights(depending how much money i make tomorrow) (im picking up a nice size of chronic if i work enough tomorrow) so ill probably pick up the lights in the next 3 days for sure(maybe soil first?) i might buy soil before i buy the bulbs becuz Walmart or canadian tire might put away there soil for the winter soon and bulbs are alwas available

you are right you do what you pay for. 4 CFLs will not get you shit. You NEED more light if you even want an a quarter to smoke on. go with more CFLS, or for a a industrial HID light. Justr have to know where to look. Good luck, hope you get it figured out and going

i know u didnt mean it in a bad way but HID is wayyy to expensive this is a low budget mciro-grow organic and im using cfls becuz i saw a simular gro well 4 grows 2 being pc grows where people got a onze on adverage each harvest and a onze would be sweet for me that all ill want and another grow the guy just finished with only 3 26w cfls and not a pc case and he got 35gs of dryed bud and if i can get just 7 each plant (3-5 plants) so around a onze on adverage that ll be fine for me its just for personnal smoke but just saying if $10 on bulbs can get me 35gs then im going with that and its small and stealth so cfls are the best way to go and becuz im thinking of not even using a fan let alone a huge exhaust for a big HID or HPSthe space is only 2 1/2' or 3' max with out lights i doubt a HPS would fit but ill just go for it
