I hear ya, I have been there before. I started with 1 CFL in a 1.5X1.5X1.5 box. My parents tore them out of the ground before they were even 8 inches tall. THen onto a bigger CFL setup and then HIDS. My first harvest involved 10 48" flourescent tubes, resulting in 7 grams. I then harvested under a 400w MH and got almost 2 ounces. As time goes by keep adding things and one day you will have a killer grow. Always a good idea to stay low key if you are not a medical patient/caregiver. When do you plan to have the plants in there?

im going to germinate probly in 2 weeks max but a week give or take a few days cuz i need to find some light sockets, buy some soil, bulbs, and a timer then get the seeds off m friend i can get fem. seeds but i thought i shouldnt get fem. seeds for my first grow maybe my second but not first more money if i fuck up goes down the drain so anyways i was gonna get around 5 seeds to start with or i could get 20 seeds for like $30 but i dont have much money(i do but im buying a QP tomorrow so i wont have much money left but i wanted to get the cheapest stuff (timer, soil(only 8 quarts cuz i got no car and i have to carry it home in my backpack), and bulbs ) i was going to just start with 3 26w cfls one the seed/seedlings for a bit but i didnt want to take them out of the dark/light for the time that im putting the new lights in later i was going to add 6 26w cfls or 3 higher wattage cfls....either like 6 26w cfls or 3 48w cfls bigger wattage bulbs would be better so i dont have to buy so many desk lamps and take them all apart (no home depot around me) only canadian tire and i was going to check if they had sockets cheap and just buy them im checking walmart and canadian tire right now comparing prices so ill post on tomorrow i gotta go to a test tomorrow in my phyics tomorrow i need to stay with the 65 adverage i got and i gotta work so i dont no how late but ill be sure to post thanks fo the support man

i just searched canadian tire and i came up with 26w cfls as the highest wattage cfl in there store WOW:O but there 10 for the 3 pack or 6 for 20 should i get 3 of these? or check walmart?

and the highest one i found on walmart was a 40w but they want 10 a piece for the 40ws but the 40ws are 2840 each and the 26w are 1750 so im guessing 3 26w would be better then 1 40w there the same price and ill probly just use these light bulbs for this grow and then i can buy the 40w for each socket i have installed

but i really highly doubt that 3 26w cfls would grow 2-4 plants even if i lst them but if i have 6 26w cfls it would work probly right? so instead of 2 pie pans ill try to get a third and add 2 lights for each pie pan or just add the extra 2 cfls with pop can reflectors (just a pop can sliced flat as a reflector

anyone think this many light would work? should i have less plants to increase my yeild? like would it be better to have only 2 plants and give them all that space or have 4-5 with less space? either way im lsting them but i gotta go to sleep ill post back tomorrow after i get home

P.S 6 26w cfl woul give me just over 10,000 lumens and if somone can grow a plant on 3 26w cfls i should be able to get atleast 3 right?

i think your setup looks fairly good, no reason you shouldn't be able to pull an oz out of there

with cfl's, the trick is up close, get even a 26w bulb within a couple of inches of a branch/bud and that should be a pretty good bud

the amount of lumens you get of cfl's seems to peak around the 26w for given watts

vegging with cfl's is a bit more straight forward - they really produce good a good spectrum for vegging - many growers use 6400k for veg, i used 5500k which is very close to the sun's kelvin temp

the real trick is the budding - my experience is mostly outdoors so i'm no expert - but i found the cheap GE 26w 2700k cfl's from walmart are fine flowering cfl's - these bulbs give about 67 lumens/watt which is quite good, and their price is nice and low

thanks for posting growone and im sure the 26w cfls will work cuz ive seen alot of grows where people only use 3 of them but thats only for one plant so i dont no if the watt/lumen per square foot is per plant or what but i wanted to get 5 seeds to sex then keep the females(depending on how many females i get) if i get only one i was going to keep 1 male and pollinate it so i would have seeds and bud at the same time but i didnt no if 3 26w cfls would be ok for 3 full grown plants (MAX)

as for pots i was going to try and get a more horizontal pot for better hight but the best thing i could find was 3 pots (so far im going to look tonight for more) ones a salad tupperware u know the cheap salads fom groucey stores? its like a bowl but bigger and more diamiter at the top
another one is a specialized metal pot not sure what type but it always stays cold like if u put it under a blanket or out in the sun in 2 hours itll be cold still its wierd i dont no if that oot would be good but its really vertical almost like a drinking glass but a i bigger in diamiter
the last one was a tupperware in the same shape as the metal pot thingy are these any good ? ill add pictures of the one i think will be the best with pictures and something to show as a scale ill post back soon

funny you should mention pots, that's pretty much what i'm doing, just bought some 9 cup plastic ziploc containers - should fit the case space just right, so i'm using pretty much what your planning on

on the 3 cfls for 3 plants, yeah, you're going to need more than 3 cfls - your space looks like 2 plants would be best - not sure what your dimensions are

well i have a essay due tomorrow so i didnt really do much and i ran out of tape for now(N) but all i need now is one side of the dresser needs white paper and then i just need to set up the lights but i still need to buy the soil, timer, and bulbs and i dont have any light sockets only one
