The plain DWC net pot seems to be staying just as wet as the tube-fed ones.

Yeah it's pretty bright in your res. You might want to paint it or wrap something around it.

I covered the whole thing with aluminum tape today and the inside is WAY darker than before, hopefully this will help my roots take off. I think it may actually be pitch black in there when the lid is shut, other than a little light leaking through the rocks. I'll get some covers on there soon. I saw the first little root sticking out of the side of a net pot today, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a boy, just from the way he's growing. We'll see.

Updated pics of the newly light-proofed res and the cola of my soil grow.

What is going on here with this cola?? All of the sudden it just started sprouting these new little oval leaves with pistils coming out. Kinda looks weird. It's actually making me a little mad, here I am thinking my cola is thickening up but it seems like it's just fluffing out more. Is this normal?

Uhhhh so I got home from work today and my res smells like shit! Changing out the water. I'm hoping I'm not gonna have this problem the whole time, I think it's because of the peat pellets. Should stop once I take the tubes out, which could be soon. Roots are growing through the net pots! finalllyyy

How long has your soil grow been on 12/12? For the first couple weeks, the cola will be fluffy and keep expanding, but during the last couple weeks it will fill in and become more dense.

It's hard to say. She began flowering during the month or two that she was outside. She looked like this when I brought her in:

I think she had been out there flowering for a couple of weeks, two to four, before I brought her inside. Anyway that was in the middle of april, and she's still not done yet! I was thinking she was getting close a few weeks ago because it seemed like the white pistils were all turning orange, but recently she has exploded with a ton of new buds and I don't really know what to expect. Just within the past few weeks, after I put some CFLs up, there's been a lot of new growth. It's really throwing me off.

Hmmm that weird. Flowering should take no more than 10-12 weeks depending on the strain. Are you sure she has COMPLETE DARKNESS for 12 hours every day?

Generally, yes. I have her on a timer, but I've fucked up many times and the dawn/dusk time has ended up moving around a lot, though I've always kept her on 12/12. Actually, I remember putting her on 13/11 for a week or so a little while back, because I was afraid she would mature and I would have a small harvest.

I'm telling you man, I really abused this plant. really. I feel bad about it. She's in my closet, which isn't totally lightproof because of the cracks in the door. I really just want her to finish up so I can get on with my life and my bubblepon babies
