Yeah i know, camera phone just doesn't cut it... I'll be visiting the local hydro store 2mor to grab some Superthrive, new soil and probably some fox farms nutrients..

Day 16

Plants seem to be under a bit of heat stress... Not real bad, but I went on ahead and shut the light off this morning.. I'll be leaving it off for 6 hours a day..

Plan to do this for a week and see where i'm at.. Probably go 2 weeks w/ the 18/6 and then flower... The largest plant is 7 inches tall, so I should be within a reasonable/manageable height after 2 more weeks of veg..

I read somewhere last night that a plant will create it's own rest period even when it's under 24/7 light indoors.. If that's the case, then hell, the extra 6 hours of light isn't worth the $$$ it costs to run it.. lol

Day 17

second day of the babies receiving 6 hours of dark... Half of them were drooping right before the lights switched off.. I read that's somewhat normal as the plant is going to sleep, knowing that it was going to get darkness @ 7:30am...

5th node is deveolping well on 4 of the plants, while one is a bit behind w/ it's 4th node.. The problem plant has 4 nodes as well, but it's hanging on by a limb i believe..

I've done enough research and have decided on my repotting materials..

Soil - Fox Farms Ocean Forrest
Veg Nute - Fox Farms Grow Big
Flow Nute - Fox Farms Big Bloom

I will be purchasing some 5 gallon buckets today, as well as the above listed soil and nutrients.. I will be doing the transplants either today or 2mor.. Hopefully I will see some increase in lower leaf color.. That MG soil just seems to be messing w/ them when the soil gets watered... NEVER AGAIN!

Due to unknown results, I have recently germinated 6 more bagseeds, all now in soil and under 2 4' flouresents.. Didn't want to wait until I run into serious problems w/ my first batch to plant some more.. This way, if some of my 17 day olds die or turn male, i've got something to fall back on...

Still just got the cell for pics.. Meant to take a picture before lights switched off, but wasn't fast enough.. lol

Day 18

Hopefully a good day in the long run for my plants.. The problem plant is dieing, so hopefully the measures i took today revive it..

I purchased 3 bags of Fox Farms Ocean Forrest mix, along w/ 6 3 gallon pots w/ holes in the bottom.. They were on sale for $1, so i figured why not.. Depending on how things go, I may go 5 gallon next time.. Anyways, i also got the Fox Farms Big Bloom and Fox Farms Grow Big.. As well as a better timer, as my current one is somewhat questionable.. Guy working the store gave me a 15% discount, so I got all that for $93... I was pretty stoked.. So much that i forgot about getting some sort of pan to hold the run off.. lol

Anyways.. I repotted all 6 into the 3 gallon pots filled w/ FFOF soil.. Unfortunantly the Miracle Grow potting soil had to go in the pot w/ it, but there was nothing else I could do.. I wish I had a good camera, because these babies had some good roots established, and were ready for a bigger pot.. I buried there stems some in the soil, getting them all about the same height..

I used 1 gallon of water and mixed less than 1/2 a teaspoon of the FF Grow Big.. The recommended mixing for regular watering was 1 teaspon per gallon of water.. Where as the "HydroFarm" book the guy at the store gave me recommends 3 teaspoons per gallon on week 3 w/ 18 hours of light.. I def. didn't want to mix this much into the water, being as this was the first time i actually fed them any nutrients..

I used the entire gallon of water on the 6 pots, and it seemed to get them fairly moist, there was runoff.. I'm not sure if they need more than that, but the MG soil was fairly moist when i transplanted, so by me watering the outside rim of the pot, not flooding the center, I think it probably covered most the soil... Not sure though, could use some recommendations..

I guess i'll be looking in on them the next 24 hours for signs of anything wrong.. As mentioned before, hopefully the problem plant revives itself..

They're on Day 3 of 18/6 lighting, and seem to be enjoying the rest.. The get pretty droopy at 7am, just before the lights go off at 7:30... Due to the height of the plants, I will probably switch to 12/12 @ 28 days, which is 10 days away.. I will then use the FF Big Bloom during the beginning of flowering..

So, I guess my questions are.. Was 1/2 teaspoon of FF Grow Big enough? or should I have used 1, 2, even 3 teaspoons per gallon.. And was 1 gallon of water enough for all 6 plants in 3 gallon pots??.. I feel pretty comfortable w/ the moistness of the soil, but if I need to add more water please advise..

Almost forgot.. such an exciting day.. lol..

I moved to a diff location.. w/ intake and exhaust, temperature staying steady @ 75 degrees w/ humidity of 55-60%... Much improvement from the 80 ish and as low as 40% humidity... Babies should love the bigger pot, new soil, and better temperature/humidity...

Question #1 I would have done the same with the 1/2 strength on the first watering. Now remember keep a close eye on them in the next few days to a week and look for nute burn etc if its questionable flush them. to flush them you will need approx. 9 gallons of water PER POT!

Question #2 Not nerly enough. I can give my 4 girls in 3 gallon pots almost 5 gallons of water betwwen them. I start with a two liter pitcher and slowly pour the contents into the pot to flood the soil so to speak. Dont be shy. the first time you watered your soil you will get alot of run off. Once you give them a good drink lift a bucket plant up to see what the wet weight is. try and remember how it feels. with in 4-5 days you will need to water again. How big is your light?

All sounds good glad to hear everything is going well. Put a filter over your intake and be clean. I messed up a bit with that and am now littered with spidermites. I think I have it under control but wont know for some time.

Day 19

Plants just went into their 6 hour dark cycle.. This is their 4th day of that, and they really seem to be ready for the darkness when it comes close to that time.. The leaves get droopy, but within an hour of the lights coming back on, their back to normal..

I think the repot went well... But my gosh, that FFOF soil really has some stank to it!! lol.. The problem plant is still struggling.. Bottom two nodes the leaves are all curled up and on the brink of being dead.. I'll snip them off probably 2mor..

Plants A, B, C, @ D all are a either bushy and tall or a combination of both.. I think all 4 are in for the long haul..

Plant E is somewhat of a runt, it was doing well for the first 2 1/2 weeks, now it seems to be going downhill.. Plant F is the problem plant, and probably will be the first to go...

Soil seems pretty most, so i'll hold off on upping the ammount of water until the next watering.. I will probably water 2mor, adding 1/2 strength grow big again... I'm on the fence whether to feed nutes every other feeding, or feed twice and then straight water...

BTW, thanks for the input as always SirSmoke... I know it's lame w/o a camera to post daily progress, but hopefully i'll have one before the flowering stage is over.. lol
