| | Very informative thread. Thank you for educating me. I hadn't heard anything about UVB light up until now. Very nice looking plants, nice job. How much UVB light does your MH put out compared to a CFL reptile bulb? I am considering supplementing my 400 HPS with UVB to increase potency and would like to know how much would be appropriate.

I want you to find a published scientific research study, conducted by REAL scientist, you know UCLA, Harvard, Phiser exc..... You can't can you, the reason why, because it is illegal. The #1 source for legitimate growing information an what works and what doesn't is trail and error from experienced growers. People whom each grow only change one variable to see the effect it has and then document it. People who use controls. It' is what it is man. And yes, I am Dr. green thumb lol. |

| | Nice grow,bro.
I can tell you love your plants.
I'm subscribed.
You know what someone hooked me up with this, I was saying they don't make 600 MH, then this guy breaks this out on me. Metal Halide Conversion Lamps
Does your A/C hold down the humidity??
I'm trying to figure out to go with an A/C unit or a dehumidifier.
My temps are not bad, but my hum. gets to high, just added CO2, so my exhaust is intermittent, need something to hold down the hum. till the next exhaust cycle.
Anyway I'm love'in it. |

Anyway I'm love'in it. | I made the typo on the bulb and by the time I realized it, I could not edit. I mentioned it later though. WOW I have never seen that bulb before. It was only a matter of time.
The A/C absolutely helps with humidity. But it can be expensive to run. When you use Co2, your tepms can actually be a little higher and still safe.
The problem with exausting all the time to control humidity is an excess usage of Co2.
Dehumidifiers are cheap, try that first, then If your plants are not happy, go AC
My new set up is completely different . I can't post pics because I am going to be publishing them (DVD) in the future. When the DVD comes out I will start a new journal with pics from conception to curing.

Peace | I almost always grow from non feminized seeds. With aeroponic/hydroponics you tend to grow small compact plants (18-30"), but more of them in close proxcimity. This is an old grow for me when I lived in an apartment. As for how it looks; If grown well, each generation of seeds is stronger than the last. The WW seeds I grow from are originally from Dutch Passion (the maker of WW). After so many generations it has evolved. Many people sell WW but it is their evolved version. Even if you and I grew from the same seed, the environment we created would not be exactly the same. There are so many variables that go into the final plant its insane. Mankind may never fully understand it.
This gives us diversity, because the plant is so good at adapting to survive. Some breeds adapt faster than others too. The Kush's come to mind. They adapt so fast that we have to rename the strand because it can be different from the generation before it. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
