.. i am attempting my second indoor grow... i am going to using dna's sour cream, and thseeds mk ultra. they will be going under a 250 hps.. right now i have them under a cfl that i was attempting to use for the seedling stage, and possibly early veg. as an expirement this time around


soil.... ......jiffy mix two thirds and one third vermiculate

nutes......... general hydroponics micro grow, flora, and bloom

lights........hydrofarm 250 watt hps and a 25 watt cfl in hood for early seedling stage

water.......ph adjusted tap water to 6.4

i will try to post temps during the grow

well, i germed two mk ultra seeds and four sour cream seeds in a paper towel.. the mk's popped in about 48 hours, and the sour cream took another 24... after they popped i put them in the soil under the new cfl.. a week later all but one of the sour cream seeds are looking good.. the one sour cream just never came out of the soil, so now i am left with two mk's and three sour creams..
i've got a quick ? for you doob's.. i am just using jiffy mix soilless mix that has no nutes added to it.. how long should i wait to add some general hydroponics micro grow and flora nutes? last time i waited like three or four weeks, and i think that this is too long.. what do you think? thanks

Never used jiffy mix, and as far as hydro, Mind's the one to talk to about that.

The fact it has no nutes in the mix, I'd imagine either start them asap or around 2 weeks. Again I'm no hydro expert and it'd probably be better to get some guidance from either Mind or another hydro grower.

I'm a soil/coco grower and will get into hydro probably the grow after this.

wow very nice strains, ive wanted to grow these. cant wait to see the final product. good luck. sorry cant answer ur question about jiffy mix ive never used it. but my guess would be to start feeding about one or 2 weeks after they sprout.

thanks doobs.. i wouldn/t go so far as to say that it is a hyrdro setup, they just call it a soilless mix i guess cux there is no dirt in it per se. think it is more like an all natural alternative to dirt, lol.. looks like dirt and tastes like dirt to me.. it is what i used for the last grow... speaking of which, i think i kinda f-ed up the last grow on me strains.. i had planted like three diff strains all clearly marked and what not in lil jiffy pots, but i decided that they were all too dry, so i decided to dump them all out, pull the seeds, and start over very early, before any of them broke the soil line.. well, in this process, i think, know, that i got some of the strains mixed up.. what i think that i ended up growing was the super skunk and diesel from g13 labs.. both femmed and both freebies from the attitude.
but this time i was super extra careful not to get anything mixed up or what not, and i would say that i definitely have the mk and sour cream growing this time around, lol..
and thanks for the interest florida, sorry to hear about your state, lol.. i am also waiting to see what the end results look like, and even more so, what they smoke like.

I did a little research and if you add some coco and some worm castings and probably a tad bit more of perlite you will be running basically the same mix I am running.

With this jiffy mix you have got to be careful because sphagnum peat moss is a moisture retainer I'm pretty sure. The Perlite will help if there's a decent amount in the mix. That's all I really saw in the "Ingredients" part on the website I visited.

Now if you do choose to add coco, make sure you check your Ph runoff because coco's great but can either get way acidic or way alkaline, either way it'll burn your plants. My soil/coco mix has more of a tendency to become alkaline.

nah.. i didn't really taste it, just thought i'd throw that in there, lol.. i went ahead and gave th sem a quarter strength of nutes last night, and they don't look dead this morning, so i guess that is a good thing., lol.. i was actually thinking of using some worm castings, so it is kinda funny that you said that i shatould add some.. seems like great minds think alike ehh..
i am going to try to post some new pix as soon as i can, still not much going on.. kinda hate this phaze of growing.. not much new growth to get you all excited, but i guess you have to go thru this to get to the next ehh..
