Setting up for some medical growing

Main house panel had a 100amp breaker that controlled the driveway heater. We don't use this, so that 100 amps is now being sent down to a sub panel in the grow area.

From here we are supplying 1000w 240v lumatek ballasts. So we ran conduit over closer to the lighting area.

Sorry for the delay guys. Of my shipment of six 1000w set-ups, four ballasts got "lost in transit". So I had to try and make do with two lights. I hooked everything up and put a Hortalux 1000w Blue MH bulb in. Turned on the power and only got a flash of light followed by nothing! This made me shut down and scratch my head while I retraced the work I had did for an error.

No error. Tried again- same result.

Took MH bulb out and put in 1000w Super HPS Hortalux bulb. Fired right up! LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!

So I fugured my other four ballasts would show up within the next couple of days, but I was wrong. So I ended up calling the company I bought from and their records show that I had received all six ballasts, and it was the three HPS bulbs that I was missing. I spent about two weeks trying to tell them that they were wrong. I finally had to track down all the evidence myself and write a scathing email to the companies managment. She was able to follow my reasoning and agreed to finlly ship me four more ballasts.

In all of my tracking down of the problems, I also was working to figure out why the two ballasts would not fire the MH bulbs. Lumatek said it was the ballasts, so I had to make sure the company sent me four ballasts that they knew would fire up the MH Blue bulbs.

My original plan was to have three MH bulbs in the veg room and three HPS in the bud room. With two ballasts, I was going to go with one in each room. Then with the MH bulbs not working, I just put all the plants under the HPS on a 12/12.

I really wanted to veg some of the plants bigger, plus have the opportunity to clone them a bunch. This plan flew out the window. Basicall all plants started budding, so I am just running with it.

Finally all the ballasts are here. Time to set up the bud room.

You could have vegged them under the HPS. An HPS has a very broad color spectrum, suitable for all phases of growth.
