Ok this is my 3rd or 4th attempt at growing. All my previous grows have been hydro, but this is my first soil grow. I just want to try somethin different this go-around.

I ordered some "Caramelicious" seeds from an online seed shop. If you never heard of caramelicious, google it. I got them in the mail maybey a month ago. I got 10 seeds, I germinated all of them using the paper towel method. All 10 seeds sprouted. I put the seeds into peat pucks and put them into a little green-house dome. I put the dome under a 125watt CF bulb in reflector, under 24hour light. 3 died a few days into it. I feed them with plain water the first 10 days or so. Then I transfer into a soil mixture of 60% soil and 40% perlite, into beer cups. I water with 1/4 strength nutes at this point. I leave the beer cups in the dome for another week or so. I also have a clone of bubblegum kush and skunk #1 I bought from a local dispensary.

You won't be disappointed with the bubblegum kush. Go back to hydro, and you won't be sorry.

For starters, my grow area is 3x3x7. I have mylar on all the walls and back of door. The only exhaust i have is a 210cfm fan i got from HomeDepot, i think it was like $65. I weather stripped all door jam areas. There is a 1/2" gap underneath the door and it pulls alot of fresh cold air into the closet from inside the house. During summertime it gets around 87 degrees f, and about 80 in colder weather. I use a black towel rolled up right infront of the base of the door when its closed to block outside light. I leave a 1" gap between the door and towel to still allow air to be sucked into the closet. Not hight tech but it works great.

I veg with (6) 55watt CF bulbs in 10" reflectors. They are the clamp type. I was vegging with (2) 125watt CFL in hydrofarm feflectors but the bulbs finally died. The bulbs are about $60 each so i just went to the hardware store and got all this new light stuff for about the same price. I clamp the lights onto a short pole, and hang the pole from chains connected to "s" hooks, which are hung from the shelf in the closet.

I flower with a 400watt HPS with simple "bat-wing" reflector.

I am using (6) 3gal pots. My soil mixture is "biobizz" soil (mostly peatmoss, wormcastings, and perlite). I also bought a bag of straight perlite and mixed the two to a ratio of about 60% biobizz soil, and 40% straight perlite.

At this point I transfered the babies into the 3 gal pots. I water every 2 or 3 days giving each plant 6-8oz of water with 1/2 strength nutes.

The 2 plants on the right are clones, (front is bg kush, and the back is skunk #1). All others are caramelicious . The 3rd pic shows the lights.

I have heard many different opinions on this. Since I started the caramelicious from seed, I don't know yet which are females. I only care about getting 1, but more would be preferable. My question is, what is the best time to throw the plants into 12/12? I have heard right away, and then as soon as you see the pistols, start on 18/6 again and continue vegging. I have also heard vegg for about a month or two, then throw into 12/12. All my previous grows I have used clones, i've never tried sexing them before, any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

I am using Cutting edge nutrients..This is what the owner of my local hydro shop suggested. I used it on my last grow and got the best results I have ever gotton.

Basically use 1/4 strength nutes the first week, 1/2 strength the 2nd week, then full strength the 3rd week.
Then go to a transition week, where u add a little of the bloom and uncle jon's blend, and reduce the grow solution.

When I flower, I keep all the solutions the same, only increasing the bloom solution by about 5ml/gal each week, untill I hit a max of 20ml/gal (bloom). I keep it like this untill about week 7 where i reduce all the solutions to about half strength. Then on week 8, I flush with plain water for 10-14 days. Very simple, excelent results!

Its really easy and works awesome. Here is an example grow chart of what i use.

WEEK 1 Grow (seedlings/clones)

Grow - 1/4 tsp/gal
micro- 1/4 tsp/gal
plant amp - 1/4 tsp/gal

Today I took out the CF bulbs and put the 400 watt HPS in. I have it hanging about 18" from the tops of the plants. I have the light on a timer set 12 hours on, and 12 hours off.
