hmm that is nuts that they started to flower. I would think growth would slow down since they have to revert back to vegging.

I too have some plants older than others and I want them to flower at the same time. Check it out sometime the link is in my sig at the bottom there.

I was thinkin the same thing. Maybe that's why they are still continuing to grow so slow. Or because I only have 75w hps *sigh* Oh well it was free and I can't complain. I am finally a grower!

Very true very true. Start researching CFL I hear they are a good way to keep cost down and work good too.

yep, I been lookin at the cfl's every time I go to walmart. The only problem there is they only go up to 26w (100w equivalent).
I did get to buy a couple 100w MH bulbs on clearance for 7 bucks tonight!!
The ballast for the mh looks the same as my hps, Im gonna change out the hps and put in one of the metal halide bulbs and see if it sparks her up. If so, maybe my vegging will come along better. The reason I bought 2 is in case when I try the first one it blows up the bulb from improper ballast lol
trial and error. I don't think it will be a problem since they are such low wattage.
Im goin to lowes and/or sears tomorrow to check out those monster cfl's i keep hearing about.

from what I understand ur mh will work but the life expectancy of the bulb will drop considerably. Those will be a nice add to your grow Im sure of it.

eh, they were only 7 bucks a piece. I'll accept the loss of life integrity of the bulb. Worth it, if it helps my babes grow better.

well, I tried the mh bulb. The ballast wasn't strong enough to push the bulb. It was barely brighter than the moon lol
