Hi folks ...been growing NFT for aslong as i can remember thought i would share a grow with yall

11 SWEET TOOTH clones from barneys farm

i am at the start of week 3 of veg, and will update the pics as the girls grow
and get more interesting...

10 plants total growing in nft grow tanks
1 plant in a homemade bubbler
total grow area = 2.3 m2 9ft by 3ft roughly

veg = 2x 600watt metal halide + 1x 400 watt metal halide (conversion sunmaster bulbs running on son ballast 50,000 lumen each

Airforce 6inch acoustic fan + carbon filter (750 m3)

(food)
vitalink max, (hardwater) cf =14 for veg period

flower = 3 x 600 son-t

expected yield (45-50 oz)

nft tank pumps run on timer in early stages, on 1 hour off 1 hour for every 24 hurs to avoid overwatering of young plants until they establish a larger root system

starting water suply is 6.6 (hardwater)

ph = 6.0-6.2 i rarely check ph now, as it all seems to run like clockwork although i do add about 3-5ml of phosphric acid evey 2-3 weeks or so

i will remove some of the lower branches and flower them in 1-2 weeks time, they will flower for a total of 10 weeks and should yield around 4.5 oz per plant during the floweing cycle i will remove many leaves to allow light to reach the buds,

ill keep updating pics as they come and add more info if i can think of anything, not alot to say really a simple NFT grow that runs like clockwork

uploading some more pictures, and a video clip, plants are in flower start of week 4 out of 10 (22 days)

everything seems ok although they have stayed a bit shorter than i had expected they are 2ft 8 at the moment

i removed a great deal of leaves and many weak thin steams/shoots took some time to pick them all off

cf is around 16-18 they are using food fast now and water each tank holds 20 liters and is topped up with 5 liters each every 2 days , i will bring them upto a cf of 23-25 in the next few days
temp is 78-82 f lights on and 70f lights off
i made a little more space for them the total area the plants have taken up is now 3 sq meter

Added some more pics, girls have now gone 28 days under 12/12 i have raised the cf to 23 and have started to add the flower booster vitalink buddy
i have also picked off alot more leaves to allow the light to get to the middle buds

Amazing job.. I can see you're not new to this.
They look so healthy and I know you're going to get some killer buds!! most definitely... I'm really second guessing why I'm not doing NFT grows..
Btw. Sweet tooth is one killer strain!! love it!

ok dude ill add a few pics tommorow i have picked off a great deal more leaves again and i am happy now that the light is getting to the middle and lower buds on the plants i have also moved the lights down they are now 12 inches away from the tallest colas
the colas have gotten alittle fatter but still remain a little airy this pheno of sweettooth puts on alot of its weight in the last 2 weeks or so when the buds swell out alot like pine cones , i will chop it down at 10 weeks but it could go even longer as the top colas continue to grow new pistles, and this pheno has no problems with mold/bud rot

the temp is 77-80f and 35% humidity with lights on, and 70f and 45% humidity lights off
i have brought the cf upto 25 and will keep it there until the last 2 weeks
they are 2ft 8 inches tall
i run the nft pumps on a timer, on for 20 mins off for 40 in every 24 hour period
i also added 10ml of nitric acid and brought the ph down to 5.8 i have decided to switch to nitric acid, insted of phrosphric as i am also using a flower booster in pretty high doses, i dont worry too much about ph during veg and early flowering but i like to keep the ph low during the height of flowering to allow the food to be absorbed at a higher rate, but adding to much phrosphric + flower boosters can result in too much of a pk inbalance so i will use nitric acid from now on, and keep the ph at 5.8 for the rest of the flowering cycle

After seeing such results as what you're getting I'm thinking of making my next grow an experimental NFT growth.
How often do you re-fill your reservoir tanks?
