Default Panama Red Grow(Flash to the past)

So here is the start, and remake, of the Panama Red Grow.

Started a thread in the elite asking questions on the strain, and it turned into a journal

So now everybody should be able to see this journal.

My Goal:
To bring back the Panama Red Strain from the 70's.

I was given these beans from a guy that has been growing for 35 years, appearently he kept mothers of the strain through the years and gave me 19 for a labor trade. I was skeptical at first due to the "long lost" title but was convinced to grow it and see for myself.

SO......here we are at the journal....

The beans were soaked, germed for two days in paper towels between two plates, and dropped in containers yesterday. I placed one in a soil cup and one in a hempy cup and plan to pick the best of the two for a mother, and make the other a male....

Then, clone out a 50 plant SOG of the strain, pollinate a few of the budding plants, and collect more beans for backup....and maybe share!

so im sure you want to see a pic, since it is the first post.....and i hate journal threads started with a big page of nothing but words...

So......here is the hempy and soil cups, and the remaining beans.

The last time I smoked Panama Red was 1974...just before I joined the Navy.If true this would be cool.I paid 20.00 for it back then.That was expensive bag too.

Cool. i'm wanting to get some columbian gold and red I found online myself. It flowers so long it had better be some connisuer smoke cause I'm not flowering for 20 months to try and sell any of it.


Did the guy give you an estimate on flowering times?
