Default Bubble Gum. 2nd Grow. 1st journal.

Hello all. As stated, this is my first journal. 3 months of proof that I, Lynchburgball, can produce some SICK bud. i'm germing 6 Bubble Gum seeds from Nirvana. I ordered Light warrior for soil; i'm just not ready for hydro. I'm gonna use the foxfarm treatment for veg and flower. it'll be nice being out of MG. i'll be using 6 42w CFL's (6000k) to veg and a 1000w hps for flowering (broke buddy sold it on the cheap).

just went to the store to buy my CFL reflectors and stuff. the seeds still haven't broken casing so i'm waiting on the actual garden part of this all. anyway, here are the set up pics for one of the vegging boxes.

suggestions are cool on this grow journal, if u want, but i'm not necessarily in need of anything...yet.

i'll keep postin.

just got my HPS. should i veg with it or just stay w/ the CFL's? 1000w. I could raise it up really high. I put the HPS on but I have the cfl setup ready to go too, so should i switch back? as of now the light is about 2ft above the plant and the soil surface temperature is around 86(ehhhh). but idk

hps is much better for flower. veg with the cfls im sure every1 else will tell you the same

I personally like flourescents for veg. I don't have much experience with cfls, but the tube flourescents do what I need. I'm probably going with sog, just keep'em small and flower a bunch.

i hear ya. can a 1000w ballast support a MH bulb???

I'm pretty sure they have conversion bulbs. From what I understand with conversion bulbs they run at a slightly less wattage than the ballast. I would check out htgsupply.
