First Grow-Purple Kush, White Widow and Hindu Kush

Hey guys, this is my first grow report so bare with me. I am starting this grow in Cali and i picked three strains from the local clinic (Oaksterdam clones). They started out young and about 4 inches tall in rock wool. I bought some Bio-Terra Plus soil from the local hydro shop, and 3 4 gal pots (is that enough) and going to pick up some Fox farm trio nutes soon. Ill be updating every few days with the results, going to start nutes in 2 weeks soil shoul keep it good until then First three are Hindu Skunk, next two are White Widow and last two are purple Kush, Can anyone help me diagnose why the purple kush leave is turning yellow and the tips on almost all the leaves of all plants are yellow?

As far as I know, that looks like nute burn. excessive nutrients are stored in the tips of the leaves and cause a burning characteristic.

Aug 3 UPDATE-
Plants seem to be doing okay outside. Living off water and Bio terra soil only (no nutes yet). But still yellow tips on fan leaves. Going to buy Fox Farm nutes sometime this week, and earthworm castings on there way.
2 bottom leaves on Hindu Skunk turned yellow so those were removed.First pic purple kush second pic Hindu Skunk last pic White Widow

Yo tell me those were feminised seeds, because i can already tell you the last 2 pics are female.

They were clones from the clinic, and yes they were femenized

8/12/09 SMALL UPDATE


Plants doing well outside. Bought FF nutrients big bloom and grow big, and bat guano. havent started nutes yet. Fan leaf tips are sort of grayish yellow what could be causing that?

XX UPDATE 8/22/09 XX

All plants show sex now, even early signs of flowering
Grow big nutes given for about 5 days now, today gave first feeding of big bloom. Plants have been outside all the time, shorter days probably induced early flowering.

I smoked a lot of Kush in Afghanistan, come to think of it that's all I smoked out there was Kush and Hashish. You're going to enjoy it if you never had it. I'll be paying attention to your thread good luck.

9/6/09 Update


Plants are looking quite well. Many trichomes forming around the leaves and buds forming, even some amber buds on one plant! All 3 plants started getting yellow leaves probably from over fert + heat stress combined. Can anyone predict the harvest date?

Haha, by the way the first pic seems like the plant is huge but its probably 2 feet
