So as many of you know my first grow didnt go so well. I still have the plants i started with but they have been moved out side to do there own thing. Since i have been here at RIU i have been reading up on 12/12 from seeds because it seems like some thing that would fit my life style a lot more.

My Soil - 1/2 Perlite
1/2 Peat moss

Pots- 16oz red beer cups

Lights- 400w hps, 6-26w 2700k cfls(side lighting)

Plants- right now.. 30 seeds germ.

I will be updating with lots of pics and info just like my last grow. Wish me luck!

Alright So ...At this time I am still waiting on my Hps to arrive. UPS says it should be here tomorrow.. it better be...

Well, this is my grow box that i made out of an old dresser that i didnt use and that was falling apart. It only cost me about $20 bucks to make this dresser into a good grow box. That is not including things like fans and lights. For the box i only had to by the Flat white paint and the hinges for the doors. During the dark cycle i saw that there are some light leeks so i had to improvise by putting a blanket over the whole box but its fine now.




For cooling i have a dryer duct running from my window a/c unto the top to keep the temp down. I also have a fan at on end of the box to keep the air circulating and the stems strong. For ventilation i installed a fan at the other end of the box. To keep my Hps cool i will be attaching a small fan to the side.

No bad, make sure you got no light leakage! lol.

I am using an old casing for tv, the old wooden ones from the 80s, but hey if it works then it works!

YAY !!!

I got my light in! AND GUESS WHAT!!! They upgraded me for free!!! I ordered this one https://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduc...roductID=53168

and an extra 400wat hps bulb!!

Now i just need to figure out how im gunna hook this thing up!

Alright. So i have my hps all hooked up..
but guess what...
while puttin it up i destroyed my duct that comes from my a/c....

i hooked up my vaccum hose to the a/c but the temp is still wicked high.In the 90's...

Just got done planting some of the seeds that germinated over the night. So far 12 have germd out of the 30. I hoping for all 30 but not sure if that is gunna happen. But i have a back up plan. If i dont get 30 i have more bag seeds that i can germ to get 30!!!
I put the other seeds back into germn in the dark and hope they will show tomorrow.

very nice! gotta love the upgrade and free bulbs, thats crazy good luck.
90 degrees is pretty gnarly, you could temporarily raise the light more and get some evaporative cooling action goin... hows everything else?
