Morps grand seedsman skunk, hashberry & white russian grow journal

time to make a new journal so's i can keep track of my plant life and also drain you all for knowledge and info in the process..
this journal will mainly be chronicling the germination, vegging, cloning, and flowering of my latest fancy: i bought 10 hashberry seeds from dr. chronic, and also recieved 5 of heath robinsons very own black rose femised seeds. all for just £15!

black rose info posted by heath on another forum:

"The mother is a purple Shiva Skunk F3 (F4 if you count the first green cross) and the father is a F4 Black Russian female sex reversed, so the seeds are female."

i plan on germinating just one black rose seed, and two hashberry seeds. i would like to grow more, but i already have 1 lowryder #2 and 1 white russian and 2 skunk hybrids in my cupboard. the lr2 is a female, just sexed and so is a keeper. the wr, although from 5 year old seeds (and a bit of a mutant) is also a keeper. the 2 skunks however, are debatable. they have just developed their first set of two leaves, and are very stretched from under-lighting... maybe ill ditch these two and plant a couple more brs or hbs...

any thoughts?

because of heat constraints this grow, i doubt i will be able to use my 400w hps. i tried it for a while, and temps were reachin 95f. ive been vegging the lr2 and white russian under a 125w 6400k cfl, and have ordered a 250w 2700k cfl for flowering. id like to pick up a 250w hps if i could find someone/somwhere to trade for my 400w, but no luck as yet..

ill post some pics of the lr2, white russian, and skunks. and you can tell me whether its worth keeping the skunks in the cupboard, or sticking them outside

ok here's some pics.

1st is of the full brigade
2nd is of my spindly skunks (cull them to make room?)
3rd & 4th are of my mutant white russian
5th is of my lr2. (no real place in this diary, but nice, healthy, and female)

wow! i like the strains! it would suck to not be able to use the hps for flower though... have you thought about a cool tube? if buying one is too costly, you can make one for around 50 bucks... ebay still has these things called "bake-a-round" which is basically a tube of pyrex perfect for the glass part of the cool tube, then get an inline or induct fan from htg or somewhere for like 30 bucks, and some ducting... really, it'd help so much i'm sure and save you your hps...

cheers pj. the real grow is yet to start... i was hoping to start germing the hashberrys and the black rose today, but i might end up being away tomorrow day and night, so ill probs wait until i return.. apparently girlfriends come before plants!

any thoughts on whether to continue with the 2 skunks, or move them out and replace with fresh hashberrys? i can only really fit 6 plants comfortably...

thanks for lookin in lumber. only probs with the cooltube is i have no room for the ducting behind my cupboard. its about 2 inches from the wall, and an absolute nightmare to move.. i tested the hps using 1 120mm fan as an outake, with a 6" oscillator blowing on the bulb itself. i have another 120mm fan which i will rig up at some point and see if it makes much difference. otherwise, im pretty confident that a 250w hps will be able to run without causing too much heat, its just trying to get hold of one for a good price while simultaneously getting rid of my 400w. arg!

gonna take a trip to a big local grow shop on thursday, so ill have a snoop...

how big is your grow room???

would there be any way to fit a little 5000btu air conditioner in there? they're only like 100 bucks at any walmart, lowes, homedepot, target, k-mart... they're everywhere... sears... seriously... for like 100 bucks about... or maybe strap one to so ducting hooked up to the intake... i dunno...

here's a pic before i put the new 120mm outake in.. floor space is about 2" x 2" ive also raised the roof and hanging bar by about 1 1/2'.. im in the uk so ac units are less easy and more expensive to come across, but i shall look into it for sure... ill buy some ducting on thursday, set the black rose and hashberry to germinating, and play around with the hps a little.. cheers for the input man

morp im in uk. got an air cooler,fan humidifier 30quid. b&Q m8. got a set up like urs. had a 250 mh/hps & a 150 one to. had it on the old ebay but didn't sell but sold it last week! got a 400 w noe lol. good luck growin dude. i got skunk#1 but all were female. got one bagseed plant female,4 days into flowering, veg for 4 weeks or just over.
