Well, If you read back in my journal, I go over the total lumens and wattage for the area, but ill quote it here for ya :d

But now I am down to 2 seedlings, the one that kept bending and bending, i found it flat on the soil today, I think I got too bored and made the over watering mistake

So I will not water these babies for a couple days and see what I get with these 2 seedlings, but again, mango seeds on the way

Well I found both seedlings laying flat on the soil this morning, and also discovered my cat unplugged the lights last night, does anyone know if this has anything to do with it?

I didnt water them yesterday, but i gonna let them sit, i turned off 2 of the 26w cfls due to it getting pretty warm and i was thinking it was a little too much light possibly, please let me know what you guys think :/

I think all in all this journal will end soon, these seeds WERE bagseed, and probably incredibly shitty, but like I said, this is all just learning curve for the new seeds on the way, in which I will be growing with Foxfarm Ocean Floor soil, and possibly a metal halide/HPs setup

So if you guys think these 2 can be saved, let me know, otherwise this grow may be over in a couple days...

From the sounds of it they have just stretched too much for the age they are. (Possibly lights too high? more than 1" above the plants?)

Anyways if there not snapped in 1/2 or dead theres always still hope. if you can carefully re-pot them and/or bury most of the stretched stem (almost to the first node etc) without snapping the stems you should be good to go.

This definatly could be the problem, they lights were about 2-3 inches about the plant, i figured they would get too hot if they were any closer, but live and let live..

Im going to repot these things and put them in a little more and see what happens...

So I just straightened the ladies up and added more soil around them, almost to the first node, and now their sitting up looking right, I cut the lights down to 2 26w cfs. (one directly of each plant, bulbs sideways)

so basically, im open for discussion, let me know what I did, did I make the infamous over watering mistake or did it really look like they stretched too much?

Ill take a pic in a little to show you guys whats going on, hopefully mango seeds arrive in a week or so...

to me they just look stretched, looks to be growing good other than that. I would have to assume that the stretch is because of the light being too far away. Over watering they wouldn't look as good Initial stretch is always ok since you can bury most of the stretched stem when there seedlings so Def gonna watch you thread. gotta love watching a seedling grow into a nice mom

Well I went and checked on the ladies for shits a giggles, and sure the fuck enough, both of them were not sticking straight up anymore, but completely bent over.

When I say bent, they werent laying like they use to, they turned straight away from the light towards the ground.

I think we may just have a case of shitty seeds

Thanks for everyone who stuck around with me for this week, I will start another journal as soon as my new seeds are here, and I may possible switch to a t12 florescent setup..

Also bought perlite and FoxFarm Ocean floor and grow big today for the next grow
