the seedlings are just growing towards the strongest light, this is normal. its not because you have the lights too close, if anything it is the opposite of that. if the light is farther away the seedlings will especially stretch to get the light. I generally keep my cfls like 2-4 inches from seedlings. then i move them in to 1-2 inches away once they have had a couple days to grow and get established.

as far as a fan, heat will not be an issue for you if you are only going to use cfl's. so as long as they have a source of fresh air and a little circulation, they will be fine. so yes, i would suggest just a little osculating one.

If you cant find Mylar wrapping paper, eat a bunch of potato chips and save the bags.. The bags are made from Mylar, and on the inside of the bag, you will notice it has a "shinny" side. Just cut the bags in half and face the "shinny" side out.

the best mylar-like reflective surface would be those fire blankets. i think they sell em at walmart. white is a good reflector and if you need to use aluminum you want to use the soft side not the reflective side

ya little plants will lean their tops to absorb the most light. thats also why one of your seedlings has a bendy stem but thats not a problem

Alright we have another update!

I decided yesterday to throw a few more bagseed in a tupperware and papertowl and WOW! Look what I Found! (pics) I had 2 seeds with wonderful tails coming out of them really hairy so...idk!

I put them in soil (one in a new MG organic soil I bought, but im not sure if I like it or not) and im sure they will be sprouted by morning because currently all sprouts under 24/0 light.

Also my total lumens are 8200 for my small grow area. (4 x 1400 26w and 1 x 2600 42w)

Tell me what you guys think so far, im up to 7 seeds planted, Im betting on males or death to sort the bad ones out, so I dont plan to end with this many plants...

Well its day 4, and one of the two seedlings i planted yesterday is already coming up.

Also that one plant with the seed slowly braking on the surface is out, but again, its not showing fully, just pushing the seed out.

I added some pics of the two main sprouts, both of them are leaning in different directions and its kind of frustrating, but hopefully they will straighten up. I might pull them down from the light so they grow upwards instead of towards the closest light. Any Ideas?
