Once again, organic is the way to grow. It has been four days since my last post and they are still taking off. The stems are strong and healthy. The foliage is spreading rapidly and all I feed them is a molasses and fish emulsion mix. The last picture is the inside leaves but the three before it is the deformed girls. They are finally making me proud. I could start flowering them now but I am having too much fun watching them grow. Right now most are at six to seven inches tall and the three deformed ones are at four. They are all looking like they will have a lot of buds. I was looking at one of shunkushybird's grow journals and my girls are starting to look like his did. Not bad for 3 1/2 weeks old. But I must do something soon because even under just 168w of light, I am going to have some monsters on my hands. Peace

Awesome! Very nice looking plants. I have a few deformed looking ones myself, not sure if it's due to the light being so close to them or what. The only thing I could think is the leaves are crowding each other. I keep my lights almost touching the tops of the plants, so they haven't stretched a single bit since sprouting.
Glad to see you're making progress! Just FYI, those peat pots are supposed to go right into the new pots along with the plants when you transplant. They are biodegradable and will break down, that's why they allow the roots to grow through. Last edited by doobnVA; 07-06-2009 at 08:58 AM.. |

One reason I didn't want to plant the peat cups is the mold that grows on the sides. Some of it can do some serious root damage.

Well, I have been using my sweet mix every other watering and the Chelates are paying off. The growth rate is rapid. I am quickily getting my SOG, but I don't want to much crowding. Even my three deformed girls are going to run out of room soon. I am justed worried about the change in lightcycle for my girls. Number 10 seemed to be having a zinc problem but I think I corrected it with a little extra molasses, but I didn't use any emulsion on her. So, here they are. I am the proudest father there ever has been. Even though my guerilla grows of the past has yielded 8 and 9 ft tall plants, I think this will be my best ever. And, with Bill C-15 on the verge of becoming law, it guarantees that I can't shared with anyone I know. Yeah, I think? Anyway, i hope you enjoy the pics.

I am starting to make BnB tea for my girls now. I am using 4 liter milk jugs as I finish them. That way I will, also, get a 1/4 to a 1/2 tsp of calcium per mix. I am using a 7-7-0 BnB mix so the tsp won't burn them. I going to let each mix sit for 2 weeks before using, that way it is nice and ripe. The milk will be ripe, too. I still need to find something to add a low level of potash to the mix. Also, I am going reduced the molasses watering to once per week, instead of twice. I want to give the girls time to use up some of the chelates. They are still looking good but the crowding on number 8 worries me. I gave her a foliar feed last night and it seems to have helped some but only time will tell. I may just sit her on my back deck because she is too small for my neighbors to even tell what she is. She is really bushy at 4 inches but seems to have stopped all new top growth. If anyone has any advice feel free to give it.
P.S. I know it's crowded from the last pics and some will be moved to their new home soon.

Here they are two days later. The smell is getting pretty bad and the fan doesn't seem to vent much air out. I got to fix it. I is the most pungent smell that I have experenced in growing for the last, almost, 15 years. I have grown shunk but this is even more of a shunk smell than any of the stuff down south. If I'm not careful the boss is going to catch me. Enjoy the pics.

I made a vent system yesterday for less than 15 dollars. It seems to work well. The current temp is 71 F and humidity is at 64%. I set it on it's on timer so it can stay a little warmer at night. I will have pics tomorrow with my plant update, don't laugh at the construction quality because it's a cheap setup. Peace.

Today I have to decide which plants stay inside and which ones go out. I need to go and get at least 5 ten gallon pots, soil, and perlite. I think girls one thru five will get moved outside. Number three needs to go because she is turning into a monster. I will need an outside timer for the fan, as well. The crowding is now a problem. But, the room is cool and the smell is under control.
This is probably the last time the girls will be in one picture together. The vent system I made is in there, as well. They are growing up so quick. One day they are seedlings and the next you are freaking out the neighbors will see the monster plants on your property. Enjoy the pics. Peace.
