Well, time to move on. These little guys have started to take off. This is them on the 14th, two days after putting them in some of the soil I mixed myself. These are going to stay indoors for awhile.
I am keeping the temp between 70 - 72 and the humidity is 67 -68. They seem very comfy and only get water from my spray bottle. Even though I mixed the soil to drain well and aerated, I am not going to have the problems I just experienced again.

Here is my girls today. They are five days old and going strong. They have gotten 24/7 light but I will change that after the two small leaves on bottom fall off; I don't remember what they are called. They have a constant temp in their room and constant humidity level but I may drop it lower, as well in a few weeks. I am still learning things about the Grapefruit strains but I hear they could be flowered right away. I'm still going to research more before I hit a 12/12 cycle. If anyone has any hints on growing Grapefruit breeds, let me know. Any help is appreciated.

They are, also, under 3 42w cfls with 19500 lumens. I will increase this once per 2 weeks at the end of next week, maybe. It depends on how fast they take off. But, if I can flower early I will switch to the GE cool white lights in a few weeks, instead.

I have three deformed plants that I am trying to fix. To take a look go to Never seen this before
If anyone has any advice feel free to give it. I have increased the water intake to them and they seem to be responding. I will know for sure in a few days.

It seems that the deformed plants are cured of whatever was bothering them. They are really starting to take off. I started giving them a little more water than the rest and BLAM! One even looks like he is flowering because of the all the new growth. Here's some pics of their improved state. (Check my other post for the pre improvement pics)

Well, they are all growing great. The 18/6 cycle has shown improved growth and they are all developing their first true leaves. Most say that you can flower after 14 - 15 days but I still going to wait till next week after the true leaves have grown out more. I have found that growing indoors in the northern climate is much easier than growing outside. But, my tomatoes outside are now 5 ft tall. I may break the girls into two groups; one for a SOG and the other for the greenhouse. Plus, that will keep me from investing more money for a while. With two separate harvest I can also eliminate the storage problem I'm going to have. If the wife doesn't see it, we don't have a problem. Or, in my case, a broken neck.

Today I added another 42w Veg light. It was, also, transplant day. I was not impressed with the peat cups today. It seems that roots stick to and grow though the cheap ass things. I did some damage to all but one of the root systems. But, they should be ok if I leave them be. I had some mold last week on the wet cups but after I dried them out, it all disappeared. Now I wait for about two weeks for the roots to heal and then I may put them to flower. It seems after every thread I post about ends up pushing the early flowering back. Still calculating on what to flower them with and which ones are going to the greenhouse. If CFL's give a gram per watt then I should add one more dual tube setup. If I keep 5 inside, I want at least 200 grams from them. But, the outside ones should make up for any shortcomings. Here is how they look today after the transplant, I expect them to start drooping today and for the next week until the roots repair themselves. The last three pics are the deformed one I have been dealing with, only one is still giving problems. Peace

My girls just went to bed but I managed to give them a treat before the timer shut off. I mixed some water and molasses with just a touch of fish emulsion. I added 1/2 tbsp molasses to 500 mil of water with 1/4 tsp of emulsion. I don't think that you can add to much of the sweet stuff but I am going to wait a couple of waterings before I add it again.

Wow, molasses is the way to grow. Only one and a half days after their feeding, they are doing amazing. The organic switch that I went to guarantees that it is the only way to go. The increased growth size is amazing. I always take pics about ten minutes before they are posted and my girls took my breath away. The soil is still moist so I don't think I need to water for several days but with the increase in growth speed, I don't know. Do know now that some must be moved to the greenhouse but lucky it is finished and ready to accommodate. I can't wait to see how they look next week. I think that five will overrun my, what I thought was large, grow room. They already have blood and bone meal in the soil, so no need to use ferts ever again. If you have not tried organic gardening, I recommend it. I don't think you would go back.
The last three are the deformed girls.

The girls are always pictured in the same order with the same number, if anyone was wondering.
