2nd grow journal. Things got busy during my last grow. My e&f attempt sucked so i ended up just goin back to soil mid grow. Plants rebounded and ended up with 2 females outta 6 plants. Got about 2oz dried flowering with just a 400watt HPS. Was 2 dif strains and 1 of them didnt yeild at all.

I started a new soil grow a few months ago and tried to figure out my plan to finally start my perpetual which meant i had to find a way to consitantly root my own clones which i havent had a lot of luck doing(rockwool, homemade aero).


I found using rapid rooters in soil in party cups was pretty much fail proof. This is my 2nd batch of clones taken maybe a week ago. 13 for 13. My first batch taken about a month ago was 100% also 14 for 14.

In the soil grow i started a few months ago it seemed it took like forever for my plants to grow branches to clone. They were about 3-4 feet after I took the 2nd batch of clones off of them and put em into flowering. 2 of them didnt stop growing till about 6 feet which ended up being a problem I will describe later in this thread(which will be easily fixed once I make the switch to aero)


I just recently bought a 600watt HPS and after some returns and some runaround i finally got it up and running today. For about 2 weeks I had to use my 400watt MH to start flowering my 1st batch of clones because i couldnt waste any more time. So my flowering room was 400watt HPS over the orignal stupid tall ones, 400MH over 9 batch 1 clones.

I got my 600watt hooked up today so now the flowetring room is all HPS and I can finally put my 2nd batch of clones under the 400watt MH and veg.

The plan is switch the entire veg area to aero after batch 2 of soil clones go into flower. After batch 2 of soil clones are harvested the entire flowering room will be also switched to aero/nft pvc post system. Batch 2 of soil clones will be going towards another 600watt HPS light for flowering room idealy.

So heres where im at today:

Heres the 2 plants that didnt stop growing. 23days flowering. I have about 6 clones of each tall ones. The closer one is looking to be a really good pheno. Prob the only pheno I will end up keeping when i switch to aero.

2nd batch of clones. Im trading my dude 3 of these for 3 Sour Diesel later tonight. They will all be transplanted into 2.5 gallon pots later tonight, fox farm OF soil and put under 400watt MH to veg till I can clone em then thrown into the flowering room to be my last soil grow ever hopefully.


The smaller system is where batch 2s clones + sour ds clones + the purple #1 femenized I have germing right now will be going. I hope to be able to have better luck with my homemade aero cloner this run around but if I need to will just rootem in rapid rooters and put those into the net pots since I have a lot of success cloning in rooters for sure.

The bigger system is where i plan to just veg em out till i can clone em, then throw them into the aero flowering room.

I have to go to the hydro shop to buy some more EZspray things, nutes and soil(ugh) for batch 2 clones. Ill try to update weekly.

Nice,and damn them some tall plants!You will see how much faster plants grow in the hydroponic system compared to soil once you get it down.I hate soil myself it's messy,labor intensive,and damn bugs luv that shit.Well good luck to ya bro.

I find that the more you bend it the better the airflow. lol not really but because of how fucking tall my plants got I couldnt mount my 600watt light how i wanted to(on wood instead of on anchors that are directly in the concrete roof) so the only way I was going to get my big plants under it was to nig rig my exaust system. Once these are harvested both lights will be uniformly placed above the plants and the aircooled hood will be like 2 feet to the right so i wont have to bend it like that =x

small update


clones transplanted. i traded my dude 4 of mine for 2x lemon g, 1x sour diesel, 1x cherry pez. i forgot to mention my other plants are all celtic berry.


my seeds germed in like 2 days so i put em in my cloner. these are 5x purple #1 and 1x blue venom. Im hoping i did the math right and hoping these wont grow out too quick in my aero unit to give me enough time to harvest my newely transplanted clones here in about 12-13 weeks.

woke up today and the bulb in my 600watt exploded. yeeeoooowwww. gonna go to the hydro store today to get a replacement. called htg and the said no refunds but instead they said they would send out 2 replacement bulbs for my two 400watt lights. current bulbs are over 1.5 years old so i guess thats ok

My purple #1 sprouts and 1x blue vemon. I was making sure that the roots on these were coming out of the bottom of the rapid rooters and accidently broke the roots on the bottom left one. its slowly recovering. Just started giving them nutes last night @ 50% strength. These will explode in the next 2 weeks.


Here the latest clones about 2 weeks into veg. The sour d seems to be the slowest out of them all. In 2 weeks i will be cloning these and putting those into my aero unit. THese are the last plants i will be growing in soil


1st batch of clones. all celtic berry. theres 8 of these and theyre about 2.5 weeks in flower.


My big ones. Its weird how different the phenos are with this strain. You can see the tall on in the back how it doesnt look even close to what the closer tall one looks like. I had a similar pheno last run where it doesnt fill out and just fox tails. However the trics on the one thats fox tailing are pretty insane. Its actually not as bad as it looks here in this pic. All buds are pretty dense. These started the 2 week flush on 5/29 and are scheduled to put pulled on 6/12. They finish about about 7 weeks on the dot. Right now theyre about 15-20% of the hairs are orange.

I cut the big one that didnt fill out completely. it looks about a week early. maybe like 15% amber and the rest cloudy. i need some weed cured by july 4th. The rest will be harvested within the next 10 days it looks like. One is lookin like it could go longer but i gotta make room for these clones. Looks to be about an ounce dry. Will post pics after ulduar. xt hardmode down woot

before i hang it. just did a once oevr getting the big leaves off. small leaves will come off before the go into paper bags. then into jars till 7/4/09. should be pretty dece by then.

heres the roots of the one that i cut. ROOTS!


heres my new seeds. the one in the middle is the Blue venom and the other ones are purple#1. as you can see they more than quadrupled growth in the last 7 days. aero ftw. Last night i switch the nutes to lucas formula which i will use till harvest. prior to this they were just on half strength grow


heres my various clones. my last soil girls. these will be cloned and placed into my aero system then flowered within 2 weeks.


heres my 8 clones about 3.5 weeks into flower. theres one in the far back left that is having some sort of issues. already major yellow. its its very stretched and lenky. idk what wrong with it. the other 7 look to be doing very well.


2 of the 3 remaining plants that are little over 6 weeks in flower. have been in flush for little over 1 week.


main cola of my big girl. this is showing no signs of stopping. my last harvest of this strain was very ripe at exactly 7 weeks. these are showing signs of needing to go 8-9. a shame cause they cannot go any longer than 7 because i need the room. i checked all plants trichromes when i harvest my early one and these 3 had very few visable amber ones. a lot of cloudy and some still clear. these 3 have to be cut this weekend to maintain my perpetual cycle. but after i get rid of my soil plants my cycle can be adjusted to allow for more flowering time since its apparently needed.

my harvest is almost dry on the outside and will be going into brown paper bags tonight or tomorrow morning for another 2-3 days then into jars. will do small update at that time.

last night i checked my rez ph which required me to turn my pump off

i went down there today about 12 hours later and my pump was still off. OOPS! the plants didnt even as much as droop. Thank god i was using hydroton and rapid rooters otherwise that mighta sucked. lesson learned hopefully!

my plant that i cut down was 37 grams dried. went into a jar today.
