So this is grow #3

my second grow in DWC ended short, out of the 2 plants in buckets, one got root rot, the other was male. I had a third plant that i vegged along with the DWC buckets just in a pot with hydroton flooding 2 times a day by hand...that plant i started flowering at 11 inches, was female, transplanted to my DIY ebb and flow bucket system, and is now over 15 inches tall, budding beautifully.

the ebb and flow system:

i used 2 3.5 gall buckets, one sits ontop of the other, the botom one has 8 litres (2 gal) of water in it along with a small submersible pump, there is a 1/2 inch hose running from the pump to the bottom of the top bucket, this bucket is filled with hydroton pellets, at the top of the bucket there is a 3/4 inch hose that runs back to the bottom reservoir bucket. currently i flood at lights on and lights off by hand but i will soon get a timer and set it to 3 times a day for 15 mins.

im using flora nova nutes, im curently at 2tsp/gal, i try and keep my ph a bit under 6 but its a bitch using those color drops

all of this is in a 4X3.75X7 ft DIY grow box, iv got 2 fans at the top pulling air out and openings for air to flow in, temps are fine at around 79 with lights on and 74 with lights off

i have some seeds germinating ATM and when they pop ill give em a week of 18/6 under my t5 fixture then throw em in 12/12 with this one

so im not exactly sure about the dates but im guestimating as best as i can and checking my old journal
i vegged for 50 days and today is the start of the 30th day of flowering
thats about it for now
ill be updating this journal about once a week with pics and some comments

so not to much new, changed the rez yesterday, backed down a bit on the nutes cuz the plant was showing some browning at the leaf tips
ill have some pics in the next few days
the buds are rock hard and full of white hairs and trics, i cant wait for the hairs to darken and this harvest to come through

the hairs are about 50-60% amber 20%brown 20%white
ill probably wait till around 80%amber 10%brown 10%white
the pics i have are from last night, ill take some nice pics when i change the rez after the 8th weeks {56 days} and the plant isnt under the glow of my hps
im guessing another week and a half to 2 weeks seeing as the buds are dense, trics are overflowing and hairs are turning

so i changed the rez today, now its just ph'd water with some h2o2
i took some pics without the blast of the hps so you can see the buds true colors
i have some browning/burning at the top of my plant along the edges, i dont know what it is, i had a similar problem last grow, no answers there either
the buds are looking so nice
id like to hear what is going on with those leaves, id like to fix that prob for next grow

so at 73 days (9 weeks) of flowering time i harvested my baby, after i harvested, dried, and cured the weed i had a bit more than an ounce and a quarter
i started again, same system but im doing lst this time, ill start a journal for that grow soon

but what was the dried weight of the small plant? How did you grow that lollipopped monstrocity under an 250 HPS? Good job.

i got around 38 grams dried from this grow, are you talking about the tall plants i grew in my last grow?...lol, i had those veging for a lot longer than i thought i would so they got big
