Hello everyone, well I am starting my very first grow ever, I have no Idea what im really doing. Thanx to the laws in the state I live in they do not allow dispesnerys. So i've opt'd to grow my own plants. I would very much appreciate any help you experianced growers have out there. Thats for you guys this ones for me . I am very inexperianced when i comes to growing stuff, I can barely grow tomato plants wich i have started as well. They are doing really good per haps i may have underestimated my self. But thats a differnt topic! Anyways..So let me update you guys on whats happing with my babies since I am starting this jounal a little late. I started to germinate a my one and only precious seed from some bombdiggity (I dont knwo what strain but it was some gooooood stuff) So I let that germinate for 10 days AND......nothing ever happend . I gave up on it. So I got 5 seeds from some junk pot I had laying around and using the paper towel technique I sucsessfully got one to pop. Instantly I got excited and was jumping for joy any was I planted the germinated seed on 04/19/09 in a 3" pot I put "her" (I hope) under 6 26 watt 6500k CFL's in a medium that I mixed 50% Miracle Grow Moisture Control and 50% Worm castings. She seemed to love it. Like I said I am very new to this and I've been researching growing cannabis for like a month straight now. So any Criticisim I am very open too. I also started another seedling in a Jiffy Greenhous thing In a Jiffy Peat pellet. This one popped up QUICK! So on 04/25/09 I transplanted both my first....Hell lets name them right now. My first one which is the one to the right in the photos is gonna be Named Big Betty, the Little skinny one to the right is gonna be Little Sue. So I transplanted big betty because I was getting paranoid that, that little pot was going to be to small becasue her growth started going really really slow, or maybe im just impaitent anyways to I mixed a Medium of 10% Miracle Grow, 40% worm castings 25% Perlite and 25% Vermiculite. This is my expermental mixture like I said I have no idea what Im really doing here. I put the Medium Mixture into two 25cm pots and gave them a good soaking. Then I transplanted both Big betty and Little Sue in them. I havnt waterted them since, I have read cannabis doesn't like too wet of roots. I do mist them once a day though. The medium is still moist about 3" down. When should I water these ladies? Big Betty is showing droopy leaves and a little bit of yellowing around the edges but she is still growing seems slow 10 days but maybe i need to learn to be more patient. Little Sue is shooting up like a rocket she has a little bit of stretch but im sure she will be fine. I keep the Lights about 2" aways from the lights and the grow room temperature fluxuates between 72 degrees and 35% RH with the lights off to 87 degrees and 20% RH with the lights on. but other then that the seem to be doing fine. Here is some photos of them. How do they look? Do not be fooled how high the lights are they raise when i open my Grow box.

how old are they?

the bigger one is 13 days and the smaller one is about 8 days

how far along are you in your grow man?
how many lights do you have in there?
they look good man, only time can tell, dont over water them either...
speak from experience.

Hey thanks for the post! Well at this point im 14 days into the bigger one and 9 days into the smaller one. I have not used any nutes when do I start?? I got them in Soil, wormcastings and a mix of perlite and vermiculite. I have 6 26 watt 6500k CFLs on then Im capable of 15, It's just the heat Im worried about. When im vegging i got 24 26 watt 2700k CFLs, but again I would like to put all these on them but i have intolerable heat issues that I cant solve . Im only watering them when the soil feels dry about 2" down. So once a week. How did you rubbermaid grows turn out??

Well now I am at day 15 for big betty and day 10 for lil sue big betty has some kind of yellowing of the leaves on the bottom two but the rest seem fine. I am wondering when I should feed them I havn't used any nutes yet I bought some Alaska 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion and Some Alaksa Morbloom 0-10-10 are these any good? I tested my Ph on my soil and its at about 7.0. I Tested the Soil with a moisture meter and about the top 2" is on borderline of dry/wet Then about 4" it's Really wet then all the way down it's Dry. When I do I water?? I also added 3 more 26 watt CFL's, making the wattage 234 and 14400 Lumens, Is this going to be enough for vegging these two ladys? I have more Im just worried about heat issues. The temp stays around 83 with the lights on. I have them on a 18/6 Light cycle which I would like to switch to 24/7 but I dunno if thats gonna mess up my plants. I also ordered some Jock horror, BlackJack and Short Rider all feminised from nirvana. So If this bagseed grow goes well then I can use my good seeds. Can anyone help me with the nutes and the Yellowing of the leaves I thought I might be heat stress so i moved my lights up a little bit. Now there sitting about 4" from the plants. I am learning how to post thumbnails so here we go...

My plant is 20 days old and its still progressivly getting yellow tips and it seems it has stopped growing Im pretty sure it is because the 25cm pot i have it in isnt draining is there anyways to loosen up the soil at this point??? What do I Do I need HELP PLEASE!

So here are my girls at the age of 21 what a great age! So Far I've feed them once with alaska 5-1-1 1/4 of what the directions said for tomatos how often should i do this. The pH is still 7.0 of the soil. Big betty on the left is really stout and starting to smell skunky but still has browing and yellowing of the leaves which started before I feed her. While the one on the right is doing fantastic a little browing of the leaves on the tips maybe cause of chlorine but nothing major. Doesnt really have a smell yet. Why is big betty so fat and odd looking is she a different strain. When should I start flowering??
