Hey all.
This journal is devoted to all the future grows I will be doing in my stealth cabinets. I have a veg' and a flower cab. They are steel stationary cabinets converted for growing. ***The Flower Cabinet*** Dimensions - 450mm x 900mm x 1800mmH 400w Lumatek Digital Ballasts. 6" Cool Tube exausted to the outside via 6" inline fan and ducting. 6" Passive Fresh Air intake. 30L Pot using Coco-coir and Perlite. Hydro running to waste Canna Nutes and Additives. So to start the thread lets just cast our eyes back to the success of the first bagseed test grow that was finished recently in the flower cab'. Bagseed Grow - 5 weeks veg' - 9 weeks flowering ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All in all this first grow inside the cab was a success. 6 quality zips off the one bagseed plant This cabinet grow was not without it's problems though. I ran out of vertical space and got some bleaching on the top of some buds. Heat build up was extreme sometimes, (growing in summer temps didn't help). RH was always too low. With so much air moving through such a confined space it's impossible for humidity to build up an remain stable. These are the things I will be looking at improving next grow.

So here is the next grow.
Day 18 at 18/6 - Sensi Super Skunk Fem'. PPM - 150 - No Nutes yet just Canna Rhizotonic. Ph - 6.1 RH - 30% Temp - 18c - 29C ![]() ![]() ![]() It's always funny to see such small plants in huge pots but this is where it all starts for me. I get them into their final growing place ASAP. This will allow her to grow uninhibited from now on. She'll start to take off soon. As you can see she has 4 nodes now and stands 7cm tall. I will top her at this node as soon as can see enough growth to accurately cut. Probably later today. I also must mention it was not my intention to grow this plant in this cab. I had planned to be using this flower cab as my new veg cab because I am in the process of building a larger flowering cab. I am limited to what I can do with this size cab so I've decided to build another from scratch. The new dimensions will be 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.2mH. I should be able to control heat build up and humidity better and have a shit load more width and 40cm extra height. The saga: Once the bagseed was finished I threw in all my little ones I had started for my next grow to this flower cab to veg some more. My other veg cab has had it's share of problems with extreme heat build up and I have been frying seedlings in there over the last couple of months. That's why I'm building a new flower cab and was going to use this one as the veg cab. -Problem- Pests. ![]() I didn't have quite enough coco to make a batch of pots up recently, so I foolishly used some potting mix I bought to make up the difference. The potting mix was not cheap shit and I certainly got more than I paid for. In the bag I also received Fungus Gnats, White Flies, and Spider Mites WTF? All of my current seedlings that were vegging to go in the new flower cab are affected. I will NOT allow plants to go into a my new cab if they have pests. So, my other seedlings and clones have gone back into the original veg cab to recover, and I'm going to flower this Sensi Skunk here in the original flower cab. She has mainly been affected by Spider Mites and the medium is full of fucking Gnats. My solutions: White Flies - Sprayed with Pyrethrum. Spider Mites - Sprayed and brushed undersides of Leaves with 1/2 Strenth 'Mite Rid'. Fungus Gnats - Released a few thousand Hypoaspis (Gnat Predator) over the soil. Hung pest strips to catch the adults. We'll see how we go. Feel free to comment

In saying that, I do not filter my fresh air so anything can get in if they find the way, but it's unusual that I've been using this cab pest free for the last 4 months then as soon as I use a bit of potting mix they all show up. Just have too keep on top of them. Thanks for stopping by OF.

I haven't got off to a great start either with these fucking pests. I know the white flies are gone, they mainly affected my little kush seedling. The mites are all dead for now but those little fuckers are hard to rid permanently once you get them. I pulled everything out of my cabs and dosed everything really well with the Mite Rid, and I'll hit this girl and the others again with the Mite Rid in a week or so just incase. It's the fucking Gnats I'm worried about because I can't see the damage they're doing. I'm just hoping that the copious amount of hypos' I threw in there yesterday are now colonising and multiplying and feasting on the gnat larvae. They will in time end that gnat life cycle for sure. Thanks for stopping by mate.

The next time you dose the plants to kill any remaining bugs you should spray down the inside of your cab with some bleach water and wipe it down just to disinfect everything. I've never had bug problems so I can't help you first hand just by what I have read haha
