When the light are on I wouldn't water the leafs and everything because the water will magnify the light and burn the leafs... personal experience...

Just keep an eye out, and don't water the leaves.If it's mg, it's usually caused by ph fluctuation,which causes a nute lockout. When it happened to mine, the leaves got yellow from the bottom up, and had grayish brown spots on them starting at the tips and working back,almost like they had been splashed with a thin layer of mud, is what the spots looked like.The leaves began to die, turning brittle.Some of the leaves folded and twisted at the top of the plant, like tacos.You can fix it with a teaspoon of epsom salts dissolved in a gallon of water, and water a few times with that. Just watch for the signs, and use the growfaq.Also I've heard a layer of sand on top of your soil keeps the gnats from emerging.But good job with the garlic!

So i am waiting for them to show sex now... It seems like forever though. I'm afraid of how many females i am gonna get. This is day 20 from when they sprouted. I am hoping they will show sex sooner than a couple of weeks but from what i've read it takes 4 weeks min.

There has been some weird browning that i cant figure out what its from. Nute burn... cant be because i didnt give nutes. mg deficiency maybe. or the flies might have done that.

so at this stage you dont think i should be feeding yet? ive got some 20/20/20 ferts. should i start using that now or should i wait until sexing?
If it is a ph problem youre saying it would be solved by using epsom salts?

I started nuting mine at 1/4 strength about a month in.You just shouldn't nute little ones for the first few weeks.

Day 38 and i am really excited! My plants finally showed sex! they have been on 24 hours light from the beginning and now i can just see signs of sex. Out of 6 plants, 4 females, one male, and one more probable male. My biggest plant that i was sure was gonna be male turned out to be female!!!

also the one with purple turned out female!!! I'm soooo lucky!! I'll have pics up in a couple hours.

You got autoflower seeds? Cuz they won't show sex unless they're in 12/12 unless they're autoflower....

Hmmmm. i read that you could tell because they pre flower at around 5 weeks. i thought that meant that when they are mature, at around 5 weeks when the nodes are alternating and not accross from eachother, they show sex but dont actually flower... I looked for a link but i dont remember where i read that.

I also read that if you want to show sex earlier you can switch to 12/12 for a couple weeks and then switch back. I decided to do that a week ago but after the first 12 hours of dark i changed my mind and decided to wait. i dont think 12 hours of dark ONCE could induce flowering... do you? everyone always says it takes weeks of 12/12 to show sex.

here is the update. the plants grew quite a bit since the last update. I had the lights tooclose again and burned the shit out of some of the leaves... again. but its not too bad.

Took 3 clones. i could have taken a lot more but ive never dont it before and i would rather try it out once before chopping up my plants for no reason.

two of them are drooping after a day... is that normal? I used powder btw.
