Nice setup on your grow. I'm still not sure why you gave up the cab you built. With some mods it could have been better than the tent. Are you not using it or the cfl's any longer?

Lastly you mentioned you run a projector... What type DIY? (I'm a big projector nut. 10 high res crt's in the garage.

regarding projector thing theres hundreds of diy threads on it and lumenlabs.com is the authority still I think. anyway the idea is an lcd is transparent. they all are. the manufacturers just put a light behind it. so if you put a giant light behind it it will shine through the lcd and to your wall. you use a fresnel lens to focus it. cheapest introduction is get an old classroom slide projector off ebay for 20 bucks and put an lcd screen from a set with broken backlight. you can find those cheap also. total these days with backlight broken lcd and slide projector is under $100 bucks. so you could be playing your games on a 8 foot screen for 100 bucks. i used that as my primary screen for almost a year. the bulbs for slide projectors are super cheap online so I ran it for 12 hours a day no worry. In the end I loved projectors so much I got a real one. the real one blows the other away in image quality but also cost a ridiculous amount. but I think im dont with lcds. nothing beats playing socom and cod on a 8 foot screen.


Im starting a season literally this week so I may do another thread I just lose motivation to post when things are going good fast and heavy like towards harvest.

yeah i still have the cabinet. thats my veg cabinet and im currently starting a bunch of bagseeds and will make about 12 clones for next tent grow.

the cabinet is great but its just too small. the tent can fit mature and very big buddy plants so its just for yield i went bigger. If I had space id make the cab another flower box and have an extra 3 plants flowering there but I need a place to have clones going so the cab is perfect.

Regarding the lights. Ive been smoking my own stuff for a over a month and havnt turned on anything relating to growing for a full billing cycle.

Apparently running fans, my lights 600 and 400 the veg cab t5 set and ozone generator and everything related was almost exactly 100 a month.

so in total I ran the stuff for 3 months, lets say I spent 300. IVE SMOKED ABOUT 1000 dollars value of my own weed this month. Hell yeah its worth it. And ive got jars for at least another 30 days. my friends think im balling cause whenever I hang out its FAAAAT blunt of chronic after blunt after blunt. of course they dont know its mine and theyll never know I grow, they just know I smoke fatties of the goods.

Thats whats up im starting my grow now and i plan veggin with my 400 hps and flowering with it until i can get another light and when i do get anoher light itll be a 250 or 150 hps for my mothers and veg or 2 bulb t-5 didnt decide yet(DEPENDING ON HOW MY ELEC BILL LOOK)I DONT REALLY FEEL MH AND PLUS MOST THE GROWERS I RAN INTO USE HPS

yeah for veg t-5s are great because they are in the cool range. even cfls in the cool spectrum can work great. I dont think you should do a 150 or 250 hps for veg. seems like overkill unless you have serious amounts of plants in various stages. I think the cheaper to buy and run t-5 or cool spectrum cfls would be better for one main reason also. A lot easier to get low right on em and no stretch. Youd be surprised how quickly a hps can stretch a plant. the yellow light makes it grow tall and not strong like you want in veg stage.

for flower its the opposite of course. there you want as much light and as much yellow as possible.

well then ill just get t5s but one ?? if i had my seedlings under my 400 watt hps if i change to mh conversion would they be shocked??ill get the t5s but thats just gonna be for clones and mothers

no not one t5. Get a / the system with 4 bulbs. they are cheap. an individual t5 ballast and bulb here is 20 bucks. the 4 bulbs connected with reflector and ballasts that you can see in my pics above was like 60 i think. definitely not one t5. and i would say skip two . get four and you can cover a cloning tray / seed tray perfect. I may get another one this season to keep some clones constantly ready not just moms. and this was like first grow. post on newer grow, my roommates weed thread

no when i said but one ??? i was saying 1 question not 1 t5 i was planning on getting the 4 bulb 10,000 lumen set it comes up to 110

110 dollars wow. thats hirsch. i mean the reflectors nice on the 4 bulb set but usually a t5 and ballast are 20 bucks. so 80 bucks for a ghetto one that you need a bunch of extension cords and more fire risk. get the 110 set worth it.

will do buddy. i was also thinking of a 600 watt digital ballast mh/hps but ill get that like a month from now and order some fem seed so i can putit to work as soon as i get it.
