The second half of my First Harvest
so I wont repost them. I have learned how to clone and I really like this strain, plus it seems like if you could keep a plant going year after year it will produce better buds. That's how it works with flowers and buds are flowers, right? so I clipped almost all the buds from my plant but since the main stem was so thick and I wouldnt be able to make a clean cut I decided to cut as far as down as I could, it was about 2 feet tall and had a few small popcorn buds at the bottom on long branches. It looked crazy. I dont know if I have pics but it was bare. I put it directly under my 400w mh to veg on 24/0 until the soil was very dry. The buds started doing really weird things and the leaves grew out with now saw edge blades, just one long leaf. It looked like one side of a plane propeller. Then fresh green stems started popping out of the buds that were left. At this point I decided that I should really transplant to a bigger pot and change the soil. Since it was dry the plant popped right out with a little help from a ruler to separate the soil from the pot. I shook all the dirt that I could from the roots. This step was way easier than I thought it would be. I didnt cut any roots like I have read one should do but I did "break" them up and gently coverede them with fresh ocean forest soil. Since the plant that I replanted in was only about 3 inches bigger in diameter and about 5 inches deeper I figured I would try and cut the plant down to about 2/3's of it original size and watered the plant for the first time since harvest. I figure this step was a shortened winter/dormant period. The next watering I fed with half strength of a veg nutes. The next feeding after that I used a full strength veg solution. I didnt time how long it took to get it back to looking like it was gonna live but I waited until it was bushy and full of three fingered green leaves to flower it. It looks completly different than it did at first, I dont know if this is normal, but pretty much I do at this point is experimenting and learning. Anyway, here is what it looks like now.

I am interested in this strain and the buds look nice! Are the buds dense and does it smell during flowering? How is the high?

With the plant I grew, under a 400w hps, the buds were very thick and dense. It was covered in crystals. It has a pretty strong smell during flowering but this strong smell turns into a taste that I really find hard to describe. Some nugs had a taste that made me think of rose petals, kinda sweet and flowery and some had a more bitter or spicy flavor, but not in a bad way at all. The high for me was great. It gave me extreme couch lock after the first two to three hits, which for me was great cuz I prefer indica, but then it lightened up and mellowed out, lasted a fair amount of time for me, and I smoke ALOT.
If your worried about the smell getting out, I don't know how to rate it in comparison to other plants, but I don't have an air scrubber and I leave my closet open while the light is on for ventilation and with the bedroom door closed people that came over could still smell it in my living room and outside the door if it was ever left open for any amount of time. If I had proper ventilation and the closet could stay closed, then I'm sure the smell could be contained in the bedroom. If smell is not a big factor then I would recommend this plant. I am going to order green house seeds again soon and I am going to get a mix that has the church in it, so I can have a couple more. I hope that helps you out. I have read that that some people dont like how long it takes to get to the point where it can flower and that it is quicker to grow from seed but I'm really in no hurry. Plus this was my first non autoflower plant and I really didnt wanna cut it down and throw it away after 6 months of hard work without at least trying to reveg. It's only one plant and I still have other cycles going on around this so time is not an issue.

You explained it very well man and you sold me to this strain with the high you explained! That's what i am looking for. The buzz last a while and a strong indica to relax on and then being mellow high afterwards. How long did you flower for and was it done on soil? I am going to try this strain for sure and probably do it organic soil style. But yeah those buds looked colorful and sure has bag appeal.

The greenhouse vid I watched on it said to let it go 9 weeks for a "special taste" but some growers pull at 8 weeks. I was only able to get one clone that I flowered before thinking to keep as a mother. It was too late when I had changed my mind, but it gave me a chance to pull try at 8 weeks. It was ok, I would be happy if I bought this from someone. I let the big one go 9 weeks to get a comparison. The high wasn't too different, maybe a little better, but the taste had more time to develop I guess and was totally worth waiting. What's an extra week when your already 8 weeks in.

I used fox farm ocean forest and GH flora series, I think that's what is called and did a full two week flush. I am reading up on organics a lot more lately. The thought of this strain grown organically makes my mouth water. Best of luck to you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

So here are a few recent pics of the church. She is getting BIG. I tried to open up themiddle and let those branches get some light. I need to get some more string to lst the new branches. A few buds are starting to reform and it looks like a weed plant again.
