Ajan haze #3 400w scrog grow blog

hello to all thought i would get my ass into gear with this grow as its my first with a bought seed. its will be my 5 consectutive grow it total.

reet the lowdown of my little grow and set up:

Using self built box thats around 2ftx2ftx4ft, with a 400w hps light with light defuser, 2x6" ossalating fans and i have vents just above the light and top back wall of box for air curculation, growing in canna cocco with all canna nutrient products, see pic and link to canna web sight http://www.canna-uk.com/home i got all my feeding ragime off the websight to, along with a break down on what the nutrients do etc. i also have a humid/temp moniter and a soil moisture/ph reader also.

the way in which i am growing is using the SCROG meathod but using LST, bending and topping to get the plant to fit well into the screen, the screan is made up of wood and wire staped togeather which has proved to work well. ( note: the medium size chicjken wire will be best!!)

The first lot of pics show room from start and the nutrients, a few to show lst and bending and the ready vedged and full scrog screen ready for flower.

quick update i have started my 12/12 light time and its been a week, this beautiful plant has grown 5/6" and has completly filled my screen, i have also discarded of all branch matter and leaf which was under the screen as this is wasting energy for the plant. the pics are of end of week 1

looking good i love the work you done on that girl she will do you proud.

i done arjans haze#3 for my last grow and enjoying the fruits of my labour at this moment. i flipped to 12/12 after 21 days veg in dwc at about 14 inche's tall and man do they stretch or what at harvest 15 weeks 12/12 under 600 hps they made 6ft .

i'm sitting back to watch and see the scrog .

i am hopping so dude i love my hazes and i have been lucky enough to have smoked in the cafe in amsterdam where i got the seeds from so hopefully can bring back a few good memores haha. greatlyanticapated

6ft you you say after switching F&^%k dude what where the buds like ??

and you mentioned about good for hash did you make hash with bubble bags? have been considering this for some time any advice is it worth it ??

Bubble bags funny you should ask my haze#3 was my 1st time with the bags.

and there worthe every penny i won't look bag in a hurry.

i don't realy have to much in the way of pics just a couple of close ups trying a new cam out.

yeilded 3.5oz dryed per/plant

i was happy .

week 2 update.

week 2 and they have stretched another 5'-7' so we are looking at 9'-13' of stretch from start of 12/12 so far, just starting to get the first pisstalls poking there necks out, i recon this next week will see the buds starting to form a little and the stretch to stop, have reduced the feed from high feed to medium feed,

i have also chopped any thing down which does not lead above the screen so to encourage air flow and increasing energy to the buds rather than to anything else..... ( will post pics of this later)

reet week 3 update,

again this AJAN HAZE #3 has streached to 21' with the tallest stems and up to 15-16' with the shortest stetching another 7-8' in a week but my box is full to bursting already, so if your growing this strain in a small box switch to 12/12 befor its filled the screen with a such a small ceiling level, if you have room grow till screen is full and maybe an inch or two through as the results will be amazing ( i hope )

i am concerned that they will light burn as the heads are only a couple of inches away from the light, i do have 2 fans blowing that the light kepping the temp at below 90 f, so all to the good so far,

plants coping well will feading, using 10mls of cocco A & B in a 5lt bottle along with 10ml of canazyme, 10ml of cocco boost and 2ml of ryzotonic. my ph reader is on the blink so its reading 6-6.5 but the plant is looking heathy so not to worried.

today i am gonna start with the canna PK13/14 and run with it at 6-7ml in my 5tl feed bottle.

i think (and hope ) the streetching has stopped and i think it has as the tops are starting to show little pisstles and the heads are slowly starting to fatten up

can any one give me there advice with this little problem, as you can see from the pictures above they have streeched into the top of my box now the tops are very lose to the light, the temp is ok about 80-85f my question do i chop them down a few inches so there not geting close to the light and hopefully making the lower branch puds get fatter or should i just leave it and just discard any bud that is messed up at the end .To chop or not to chop, that is the question........
(unfortnatly i cannot move the light higher or get more head room so i got what i got)

Well I have never done scrog but will soon start one, I don't know what you can do but I know what you did wrong. You just allowed the plant to go through the screen, you were supposed to train it and lay it through the screen. You can try and pull some of the tall branches from under the screen.
