MMMMmmm I think I want back in the box!
Maybe we will get lucky and someone will do a little experiment with this. I would but I already cut back from doing a small sog with 15-20 plants down to just these 2 so I can't really afford to mess up too bad, not that this doesn't have the chance to fuck up, but I've read about medical growers who have a low plant limit doing this method to increase yeild per plant, I think it should go alright. I'll try to get some more updated pics today or tommoro. |

Alright a little update!!.
The last pics were day 2. DAY 3--- the new growth started yellowing a bit from the edges. I'm thinking from the transplant and dizziness lol from being turned on thier side. Also trained the lower branches upwards. they proped up nicely aginst some other branches. They also haven't had a feeding since a week before turning, but were still wet from transplant so I foliar fed them with a weak 20-20-20 plant prod fert. DAY 4---yellowing hasn't really progressed much. picture 2. DAY 5--- watering and feeding day. I noticed the veg ferts I have had alot of stuff settled on the bottom of the container and with all the shaking and stiring it wouldn't dissolve so I tossed it. Decided to go with a 50/50 mix with the 20-20-20 plant prod and the flowering fert Flora nova. I also added a couple tsp of mollasses. Maybe it'l feed that compost a little. DAY 6--- Finnally picture day! LOOK LIKE A 2 PLANT SOG!!! The main stock on both of them are starting to lift themselves so they will get tied down today. |

Some more pics. Probably noticed in some o the pics our little gnat eater CUJO sitting near the clones on top of the garbage cans. there are also a bunch of youngin's down on the floor, these are for outside, we have a bunch outside but they are all DEAD!!!!! THE FREAKIN RIVER IS HIGH! It's usually never ever gets this high aside from spring thaw, it may even flood it has gone up 10 ft plus and drown our babies.
Also had a few days of wicked storms here, some tornados 1 hour to the west. here some pics of the craziest lightning show ive ever seen in my 29 years. it was 99% sheet lightning but it never quit. was like a strobe light, there must have been ppl having seizers. |

Number of reasons, mostly an experement. I think the biggest gain I will get out of this is gettin good light coverage on all the branches. the conpy hieght is only about 1.5 feet whereas if they were upright they would be 3 feet plus by now and the light would have to penetrate alot deeper to reach lower branches. This kinda acts like topping or fim tech as the even light dis makes all the branches grow like a top, it looks more like a scrog than a sog. the last 2 plants I grew were str8 up and I had the 150 watt hanging beside for supplemental but then I had to turn them all the time to even it out. pita, lol. This way I have 400 watt total but spread out a bit. I also heard that light waves can come together and multiply? not sure about this tho. |

How about this. Place the light across the room(or on a stand) at the same vertical height as the plant. Think direct overhead light turned 90 degrees. if cenetered in the middle of the main stalk, it should answer the gravity ?, no? I*L---- PI where P is plant, L is light and I equals opposite vertical walls of the room

I get ya. that would be a good 1 to try. Right now I have the 150 watt over the original top of the plant just a little ways away and it seems the tops are still curving favoring the 250 that is lighting the mid to lower (nearer to soil) branches of the plant. Would kinda suggest light intensity favorability actually looking at the pics agian it's hard to tell b c you can only really see the first plants top properly the other 1 favors the 250 a little more. but I think your idea is a good test, just need someone to try it for us . Ne1? ol.

It doesnt really matter which how you place the light, the leaves will turn to automatically face the most intense light source, so if you had one top and bottom at even distance from the main stem the leaves on the top side would turn to face the upper lamp and the bottom would face the lower lamp, either side probably wouldnt be aware of the light from the other side as the other leaves would be shading it.
I did well from my sideways grow getting the most from one plant to-date. |
