Started my new grow in the cab I finished almost 3 weeks ago. It will eventually be a perpetual harvest.
Flowering chamber: 400w hps Veg: 16 23w cfl's (I need to get a 250 MH) Seedling/Clone chamber: 3 12" 15w T8's There is a 6" Valueline fan located in the attic for exhaust. Temperatures are around 80 or below in both chambers. Bought some seeds online and decided to start with the free ones that I received from my order. They were germinated in a wet paper towel and then moved into Jiffy pellets which I will probably never use again. |

Roots started to show in about 5 days so the pellets got moved to some solo cups with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mixed with more perlite.
Fast forward 13 days from sprouting.... The plants are looking healthy but have all curled. I was thinking it might be overwatering, but I'm pretty careful about watering and the soil gets pretty damn dry between waterings. Temps are in the high 70's and don't go above 84. The humidity is around 40% or slightly below. I water with filtered water (I haven't tested the pH). They're on a 24/7 light schedule which I think I'm going to change to 18/6. They are getting super dense and have inner growth at the nodes. They're not growing vertically really at all. I'm starting to think they might be getting too much light? |

Yeah I was surpised too. They gave me 6 seeds and all 6 of them cracked and sprouted. One of them didn't end up opening it's leaves and the taproot never got longer so I ended up pulling it. But hey 5/6 isn't bad. Unforunately they didn't send any info with these freebies so I have no idea what strain they are.
The temps in the flowering side get up to about 82F. This of course is going to change with the weather warming. I'll have to change some things around. I really should be on my first harvest by now, but I took forever to get the rest of the materials together and get the cab finished. I took a few months really thinking alot of it out and doing some planning. I would like to say it was worth it, I guess I'll find out. Thanks for the kind words! |

Hmm, 82 with an aircooled hood and inline fan? Seems kinda high for that setup. Have you thought about adding another passive intake?

That was actually the temp with the veg side running at the same time. There are two 6" passive intakes on the flower side and then some on the veg side. the air from the flower side is getting sucked up into the reflector and into the 6" T at the top. The veg side is getting sucked up into the other side of the 6" T and then up to to the attic. It's really a work in progress and definately needs some more tweeking. I'm really trying to get it dialed in to where I don't need to go get another fan. I've thought about maybe going back to my original idea and having the reflector take in fresh air straight from outside the cab and into one side of the T, I think I would probably be able to control my humidity a little better this way. I have all the intakes louvered so that I can control the flow a little better in case I wasn't using one side of the cabinet at that time, I can just close it and run the other side more efficiently. I don't know if all the made sense, I could probably get some drawings up or take a couple more pictures.

Just thought I would update with some pictures. I decided to move them under a 400w MH and they have really started to grown. Still seeing some signs of overwatering. The first few inches of soil in most of the bags are bone dry, but I guess it doesn't really matter because it's above the root zone.
These photos were taken at Day 23 from breaking the soil. |

New update, this is Day 31. Looks like there are a couple different strains in the freebies I got. The one at the bottom middle looks like it has some possible male preflowers and the bottom right looks to be female.
